The developer's own words about WEBFISHING — the one part of this page that is not derived from the catalog.
No pitch from the developer yet
Everything above is derived from the catalog and the storefront. If you made WEBFISHING, this is where you get to say what it is in your own words.

Almost every review makes the same point in different words: the fishing is not the point, the dock is. Reviewers praise the near-total absence of failure states, the drawing and voice tools, and the fact that a group can sit in it for hours without anyone having to be good at anything. It gets repeatedly recommended as the place a group goes to actually talk. The complaints are that anyone looking for a fishing game specifically will find it shallow, that public lobbies vary enormously in quality, and that there is very little to chase once the catalogue is mostly filled. Nobody argues about the price.
Summarized for this prototype from the sample reviews below.

It is a room with a low-effort activity to occupy your hands, and that combination is far rarer than it sounds. Nothing in it is designed to interrupt a conversation, so a group can be in there for three hours and the game never once demands attention back. We have had entire evenings where the fishing stopped early and nobody noticed or minded.
If you actually want a fishing game, this is thin. The catch loop has very little depth and once the catalogue is mostly done there is no real reason to cast beyond habit. A slightly more demanding rare-fish chase would give the people who like goals something to do while everyone else talks.
Every other game our group owns is a reason to be together with a task attached. This is the only one where the task is optional, and that makes it the one we open when we just want to hear each other.

The drawing tools turn the dock into a noticeboard and that is where most of the real content comes from. Half our sessions end with a wall of terrible sketches and inside jokes that only make sense to five people. Voice attenuates over distance too, so small conversations can happen at the edge of the map without taking over the lobby.
Public lobbies are a lottery. Some are lovely and some are one person testing how far they can push the drawing tools, and there is very little in the way of moderation tools for a room you did not create. Playing private solves it, which slightly undercuts the point of a public dock.
Among Us puts you in a room with people and gives you a reason to distrust them. This puts you in a room with people and gives you nothing to do, and it turns out that is the better basis for an evening with friends you already like.

Five dollars and it has replaced our voice channel. That sounds like faint praise and it is not — having somewhere to be while you talk changes the shape of a conversation, and people stay for an hour longer than they would in a call with nothing on screen. No stamina, no timer, no reason for anyone to leave.
Performance in a very busy lobby gets choppy on older machines, which is a strange thing to say about a fishing game and is mostly a function of how many people are drawing at once. The menus are also more fiddly than the rest of the game, particularly anything to do with inventory.
Against Raft, which is our other low-stress option, this has no build queue and no shark, so nobody ever has to be the responsible one. Raft is a project; this is a hangout.

It is the only game in our rotation that our friend with a young child can actually play, because it can be paused by simply walking away and nobody is waiting on him. That accessibility is not a small feature — it is the reason he is still in the group chat at all.
There is almost nothing to come back for once you have caught most of it. The game does not really want to be a progression system, which is correct, but it does mean the people in the group who need a goal drift away after a few weeks and only the talkers stay.
Compared with Supermarket Together, which is the other free-form option we play, this asks for nothing at all. Supermarket has jobs and therefore has arguments; this has neither.
