About this game
THE BLOOD MOON HAS RISEN. THE BASE HAS GONE SILENT. SOMETHING INSIDE IS LISTENING.
Blood Moon Horror is a 1–8 player co-op survival horror game set inside Lunar Base Alpha, a research station sealed off after the Red Horizon incident. You have no weapons. Your squad must restore power in the dark, recover the evidence, and get out alive while corrupted machines hunt you by sound, light, and movement.
At a Glance
- 1–8 players in online or LAN co-op. Solo play works too.
- No weapons. Hide, run, and distract to stay alive.
- Proximity voice chat. Your team can hear you, and so can whatever is nearby.
- Randomized station layouts, so every run plays differently.
- Full controller support and a free demo you can play with friends.

A Rescue Mission Gone Wrong
2078. Lunar Base Alpha was built to push humanity further than ever before. Then came the Red Horizon incident. The base's final transmission cut off mid-sentence:
"The moon... it's changing. The samples... they're alive. We can't contain—"
[TRANSMISSION ENDED]
Three months later, your Ashlight Recovery team breaches a sealed sector. The corridors are empty. The power is failing. Life support is running out. The station's machines are still moving, but something has corrupted them.
And they are listening.
How a Run Works
- Enter a sealed sector. The layout changes every run. Check power, access, noise, and exits before you commit.
- Restore critical systems. Split up to solve electrical puzzles at switch boxes, reroutes, traces, and terminals. Every repaired section lights back up.
- Recover NovaTech evidence. Find the logs, files, and recordings that explain what happened here.
- Extract before lockdown. Get your squad out alive. Anyone who falls can keep watching as a spectator.
The Dark Is on Their Side
Light jammers have plunged the station into darkness. Your flashlight is often the only light you have, and when its battery runs out you are down to a dim red backup. Restored sections light up again, but the lights still flicker.
The machines react to sound, light, and movement. Footsteps, voices, doors, sparks, and a flashlight pointed the wrong way can all give you away. You need power to escape, and bringing it back is never quiet.

Co-op
- 1–8 players, online or LAN. Go in alone or bring a full squad of eight.
- Proximity voice chat. Whisper plans, call for help, and go silent when something gets close.
- Private lobbies. Host private or password-protected sessions and invite friends through Steam.
- Spectate after death. Fallen players can keep watching their team.
Survival
- No combat. Hide, run, distract, close doors, and cut the lights. You cannot fight your way out.
- Biomechanical threats. Corrupted security frames and service machines patrol the base, investigate noise, move through vents, and punish predictable players.
- Light is limited. Manage your flashlight, fall back on your red backup light, and decide when light is worth the risk.
Puzzles and Replayability
- Team electrical puzzles. Switch boxes, reroutes, traces, and in-world terminals. Mistakes cause sparks, noise, and sudden darkness.
- Randomized layouts. The station changes between runs, so you can't memorize the way out.
- Evidence to uncover. Crew logs, files, and recordings reveal what NovaTech found beneath the lunar surface, and why the base was sealed.
Progression
- XP and stats. Earn XP for objectives and survival, and track your performance across runs.
- Cosmetics. Choose from multiple survivor variants and unlock new skins as you progress.
- 29 Steam Achievements and Steam Leaderboards for documents recovered, fastest extraction, and longest survival.

Early Access
The full co-op horror loop is playable today, and every update is shaped by player feedback.
- Playable now: everything described on this page.
- In development: smarter enemy behavior, clearer objectives, fuse box and generator puzzles, new enemy types, more customization, shop improvements, visual and UI polish, and optimization.
- Planned before full release: new sectors and maps, more story, more cosmetics, deeper sanity effects, stronger perception and audio systems, and more run variety.
Content Warning
Intense horror themes, jump scares, darkness, confined spaces, disorienting audio, and isolation. Voice chat with other players may include sudden or loud sounds.

Play the free demo with your friends, then bring your squad into Early Access. Follow Blood Moon Horror to get patch notes, playtests, and new content as soon as they land.
The base is silent. The blood moon is rising. How long can your team survive?
