This season, Betrayed turns cold.
With winter-themed map decorations, a brand-new Arsenal with weapon videos, a new chaos-inducing weapon, and fully integrated voice chat, this update focuses on clarity, communication, and core system improvements across the game.
Winter-Themed Maps
- Every map now features winter / Christmas decorations, similar to the Halloween event
- Snow, lights, and seasonal props transform the environment
- Decorations are purely visual and do not affect gameplay

A brand-new Arsenal has been added to the game

AI, Logic & Network Improvements
Chicken NPCs
- Reworked logic with significantly reduced network bandwidth usage
- Clients now simulate movement more efficiently
- Smoother behavior with fewer replicated updates
Chicken Bomb
- Logic reworked for cleaner activation and detonation
- Reduced unnecessary replication
- More reliable explosions
Turrets
- Target selection handled by the server
- Clients only handle visuals and rotation
- Fewer network updates and lower bandwidth usage
Visual Fixes
- Fixed an issue where post-process outlines were visible through smoke
- Smoke and fog now properly block outlines and visibility
- No more seeing players through smoke
Overall Improvements
- Improved network efficiency across multiple systems
- Clearer visuals and better gameplay feedback
- More stable matches with lower bandwidth usage
