Depth is coming

Hi there B.G.S members!

One thing has become pretty obvious since launch: in trying to keep Board Game Society casual and easy to pick up, we probably pushed the "basic is best for everyone" thought a bit too hard

With this, several systems we already planned to expand over time are now being brought forward in the timeline and given a lot more attention and priority:

• Character Abilities

• More Ability Cards

• More Global Events

• Unique mechanics and quirks for each board

• Pass & Play

A lot of the design work behind this is already well underway, and we're now starting to bring the pieces together into something with more variety, more strategy and a lot more room for interesting decisions, as quickly as possible.

We will keep you posted on the progress as much as we can during the coming weeks, so keep an eye out.

We waint to point out that the goal isn't to turn Board Game Society into a 400-page rulebook. It should still be easy to learn, easy to jump into with friends, and easy to enjoy without needing a spreadsheet open on a second monitor and 4 different Youtube tutorials.
