You're Invited to Play

We are excited to give players a chance to experience Bomberball for the first time!

The Bomberball Playtest Weekend will run from November 7th-9th, 2025.

We are giving priority access keys to content creators and curators, but intend to admit all players in batches. Players with access can invite friends to skip the queue!

Players will get to try out the main game mode in one arena on dedicated servers, or host their own server with access to two modes in three arenas.

Gameplay Basics

Two teams fight to get a bomb (ball) into the opposing team's rift (goal). Players move the bomb by carrying it, throwing it, or damaging it. The first to score 5 goals wins, or a team wins if they have more points when the game timer runs out.

Players choose between three playable classes that each have their strengths and weaknesses. Each class is equipped with two guns, an additional power weapon, grenades, melee, and an active ability (shield, grapple, or thrust pack).

Known Issues

Gameplay Bugs

• Spawn without a HUD and can't move.
• Respawn by pressing the Killbind button ('K' by default).

Ball Stuck in Inventory.

• Respawn by pressing the Killbind button ('K' by default) or it may fix itself.

Holding Ball Makes you Fly Around.

• Drop the ball by releasing the Grab button.

Audio/Visual Bugs

• Melee weapon stuck in hand or showing up when not expected.
• Tracers originating from middle of map instead of weapon barrel.
• Ammo counter is slow to update.
• Ball icon loses tracking with the ball until the round ends.
