Cordels & Spells is an action roguelike set in a magical backlands, where players explore Brazil’s Northeastern region, face commanders and other mystical creatures, and recover enchanted cordel booklets.
During this playtest, the following features are available:
- 🌵 Frenetic exploration and combat: Face intense battles against treacherous enemies across ever-changing maps.
- 📖 Choose your strategy: Carry up to three different weapons, combining melee and ranged attacks.
- 💀 Permanent death: Every defeat means starting over, but with each attempt you grow stronger.
- 📜 Magical Cordels: Recover fragments of the story and collect legendary cordéis inspired by Brazilian folklore.
