V 0.9.0: Big Meta‑Progression Update Part 1
Part 1 includes a full overhaul of the opening section of Chapter 1, adding roughly 2–3 hours of new progression‑focused gameplay . (Part 1 covers everything leading up to defeating the first necromancer in the mines.) There are still a few tweaks and additions I want to make, but the updates are fun, stable, and in a good place, so I wanted to get them into your hands.
I still have a handful of ideas I want to refine or experiment with, but my focus is now shifting toward polishing the second half of Chapter 1 .
V0.9.0 — Changes, Additions & Fixes
Updated project to Unreal Engine 5.8 Introduced a brand‑new progression system centered around upgrading your town and sellers via the Cosmic Cradle, unlocking new opportunities and options over time
First half of Chapter 1 fully revamped; second half still in progress
Added a friendlier helper tutorial for early runs to guide players on what to focus on first Classes removed from game (they were just equipment configuration templates anyways). Now players are free to completely customize their character and play style and progress in a direction of their choice. Added a fun town sign interaction during the first run (try interacting multiple times) Difficulty progression overhaul: tougher enemies added after each portal entry to make every run more engaging Added impact sound to the training dummy in the base Complete overhaul of all armor and weapon images Full rebalance of all weapons and armor to match the new progression system Crafting now auto‑adds items to your bag unless it’s full Updated all character dialogues Crafting UI improvements:
Added item filtering Added “can craft” icon indicators
Updated clothes shop; capes removed and moved to base crafting + shop Updated theme worlds with new items and enemies Ice World completely reworked with new enemies and bosses Fixed UI hitching caused by the new item grouping system Added new enemies, powers, and weapons (e.g., Blue Samurai with new sword and armor) Added new Carnival Event
