Before then, here’s a quick look at what’s coming next: We’re hard at work on the next phase of Cabin’s development on Steam. Here are some of the main areas we’re focusing on right now.

Of course, community feedback and major issues will always be our top priority. You can expect regular hotfixes and patches alongside larger content updates like this one.

We’re continuing to refine how VR avatars function and appear in the game, especially as we prepare for cross-play with platforms like Meta Quest. While there’s still room for improvement, we’re actively exploring ways to make the experience smoother and more consistent across all devices.

We have an amazing community of players on the Meta Quest platform, where Cabin first launched. We’re now working to bring everyone together by expanding our matchmaking pool to include Quest players, creating more opportunities to team up and take down some Zs.

Bringing our VR game to a flat-screen experience has been incredibly rewarding and opened up new challenges for our developers to tackle. But we’re not stopping there! We have a range of hot fixes queued up & enhancements in the works as we continue to grow and refine the game with a whole new audience! Now for the fun stuff! Once we’ve finished putting out any fires and bringing the entire Cabin community back together, we’ve got a lot of exciting work lined up for release in December 2025.

First up is our Quality of Life patch. Think of it as a big bundle of balancing tweaks, general improvements, and community feedback, all wrapped up in a nice holiday bow.

And yes, 4-player support is on the way. We’ve heard your requests loud and clear. It’s a top priority for us as we work to make Cabin even more social, creating new ways to play and more opportunities for friends to hang out in the apocalypse.
