Eat the Rich 1.0

Eat the Rich 1.0
We're very happy to finally release Eat the Rich 1.0! We've made a major overhaul and added many new content throughout our Early Access period. Please read further for all the detailed changes for our game's 1.0.
Main Structural Changes
We've reworked the structure from the ground up to make that first game far easier to grasp, without losing the social scheming at the heart of Eat the Rich.
- Every game now runs exactly four rounds, regardless of player count.
- Every round now follows the same three phases: Challenges → Private Talks → Voting.
- Conspire or Betray and Pay or Bluff are now optional games that players can start during the Private Conversations phase.
- Player Spotlights now appear only once, between Rounds 2 and 3.
- Secret Gifts have been removed. This may return in the future in a tweaked format, once the playerbase is already familiar with the game's base structure.
Challenge Phase Changes
- Minigames now run until the 2 minute timer expires — no more racing to a fixed point target.
- Instead of rewarding only the Top 3, every team or player now earns pennies equal to the points they scored.
- Minigames may now be either team-based or solo.
- By default, the top player in Solo Brawls earns Immunity from being voted out. This can be toggled on and off by the lobby host. Brawl Immunity can also be toggled on for Team Brawls but this may significantly reduce the pool of players eligible for elimination for smaller lobbies.
- Most minigames were revamped to work with the changes mentioned above.
Corporate Rivals
- Changes the composition of point values per briefcase. In general, increased the point values and reduced negative briefcases to balance it with other Brawl Games.
- Resets the entire board once only 3 briefcases remain.
- Each Building visual now represents up to 4 points.
- Game no longer ends when a team reaches 10 points.
Doomsday Bunker
- After confirming inputted code, the digit display will now light up green if the number is correct, and red if the number is wrong.
- Points now start at 200 and decreases by 1 every second.
- Game no longer ends when 3 teams unlocked their bunkers.
Union Buster
- Players now earn 4 points when they correctly hit a protester and lose 2 points when they hit a non-protester.
- Reduced the spawn chance of special protesters carrying Pennies and Advantages.
Tax Evasion
- Instead of getting permanently eliminated, players now get stunned for 5 seconds when "flattened" by the Tax Page.
- Game no longer ends from player eliminations.
Hidden Dissidents
- Players now earn 4 points when they correctly hit a dissident and lose 1 point when they hit a non-dissident.
- Game no longer ends when a team reaches 12 points.
Crypto Miners
- For team rounds, a player holding the Mining Rig gains 1 point per second.
- For solo rounds, a player holding the Mining Rig gains 1 point per 0.8 second.
- Adjusted the number of Mining Rigs per number of players.
- Game no longer ends when a team reaches 50 points.
Problem Solver
- Players must now complete 5 letter words instead of 6 letter words.
- There are now two sources of letter boxes. These sources continually replenish their lettered boxes.
- Players earn X points for every word solved. Afterwards, all letter boxes will be removed and a new word must be completed.
- Game no longer ends when three teams completed their words.
Gluttony
- Per round, player with the highest score earns 12 points. Second highest scorer now earns 4 points.
- Game no longer ends after 10 rounds.
Hoarding
- Gold Tokens now give 16 points. Silver Tokens now give 10 points. Bronze Tokens now give 6 points.
- Game no longer ends when three teams reached 8 points.
Revamped Private Talks
- Players start the phase in separate private tents. After a set amount of time, the tent doors open and the Teleporter activates, letting players move between tents.
- Some tents contain Conspire or Betray and Pay or Bluff terminals. Some tents contain Vending Machines. Anyone can start a game by interacting with a terminal, as long as at least 2 players are in the tent.
- Players can also head out through the Tent Door onto the main circus map, and enter other tents from there. We've added 2 Vending Machines to the circus map as well. In the main circus map, proximity voice chat is enabled to still allow private conversations while roaming.
New Minigame: Money Laundering
Introducing a new rhythm-based minigame all about "cleaning" dirty money. Stand in the correct lane to deliver each bundle to the washing machine — catch every one to build your combo.
