No more clicking every single book.

Hi,

I know some of you would like easier item pickup, particularly in the Library. There are 8,000 items there, and having to click 8,000 times is tiring.

So now you don't have to click every book. Click on one, but don't release the button. Just sweep over nearby books, and you'll pick those up too.

Sweep pickup

Hold the pick-up button and drag your crosshair across a pile or row of items: items are grabbed one after another (up to your usual carry limit).

Finding the last few items

Finishing a level no longer turns into a scavenger hunt:

When fewer than 10 items remain, holding the Highlight key (Ctrl) also marks some of them with a pulsing pointer effect - the same ping you use to point things out to teammates. Pick-up reach is extended for those final items, so something wedged in a nook you can't walk into is still grabbable.
