HexSwarm 1.1 - A Brand New Story
Welcome back to HexSwarm: Hostile Worlds
A brand new patch has arrived with two massive new features.
Massive New Thing the First
HexSwarm now has a proper Main Menu artwork, featuring brand new art. Artist Credit - Ashi is a friend of the studio who performs beautiful landscape commissions and we are so glad he had the time to work on this for us.
Massive New Thing the Second
Mission Commanders will now find a brand new Mission Log within the game itself. This log keeps track of every action and its consequences throughout a mission, with highlighting to show you where things happened, and including native support with the new
Major but not quite Massive Thing the Third
The Codex; which is an integrated navigable, hyperlinked adaptation of the original HexSwarm rulebook. If you didn't know how something worked, the Codex has your back.
There's also a handful of Bugs that have been Squashed.
- Evolutions now finally show their original card art.
- Destroying Hives now always lowers Threat. You weren't being credited properly for some Research cards.
- Frontliner no longer makes every tile immune to bugs. Sorry, I'm sure someone will miss this one.
- Bugs squashed by tile defense now properly count for the Body Count Objective. Yep, we were shortchanging you again.
Alright, and with that, here's the small handful of other things that were to annoying to screenshot.
- Turrets now show a preview of how many bugs they will squash
- Movement lines are now much prettier
- There is a new Quick Play Research button that appears next to the research lab when you have a playable research card.
With that, we return to the cave. Look forward to HexSwarm 1.2, which will... Definitely have more updates.
In the meantime, we welcome you to check out our finally launched studio website.
