Hidden in Plain Sight ~Online~ add-on coming soon

I'm putting the finishing touches on adding online multiplayer to Hidden in Plain Sight. It's probably the most requested feature since the game came out over a decade ago, and I've always been extremely resistant it.

Why the resistance? Because I feel the game is just a better experience when played in person. It's like comparing a Facetime call to real face-to-face interaction. There is something magical about being in the same room with friends and family and laughing with each other that just doesn't exactly come through online. However, voice-chat and video-chat have come a long way since the game first came out, and the gap has shrunk a lot. So maybe it's time.

I have gated the online functionality behind a FREE DLC add-on. It is opt-in, not enabled by default. (My original plan was a super-cheap $1 fee, but I have changed my mind about this!) Opting in is your way of telling me "I accept the possibility that the game might not be the same as if it were played in person, but I'm willing to trade in that experience for convenience."

I need testers who are willing to help test online play! I have tested as much as I can by myself and with friends, but I'd love more feedback.
