Legends of Aria Eternal Is Releasing on September 10th

The gate was closed... but it was never sealed.
Legends of Aria Eternal arrives on Steam September 10th. Here's what that day looks like.
Run your own world
For the first time in the history of Legends of Aria, anyone can run a server. Hosting was always an invite-only admin program before now. That gate is gone.
Every copy of Eternal includes the Legends of Aria Dedicated Server Launcher, free, in your Steam Library under Tools. Run it and you're hosting a shard of your own, with whatever ruleset you want and whoever you invite onto it.
At launch, servers are customized through the ruleset and server data files. The Legends of Aria Unity Toolkit for building custom maps is in development and will follow after release.
Some of the best history in this game happened on player-run servers.
Citizen's Pass holders, your key is waiting
If you held a Citizen's Pass before Legends of Aria went dark, Eternal is yours at no cost. The claim portal link goes up on our official Discord on launch day. Enter the email tied to your old account and your Steam key will be sent to you.
If anything goes wrong with your claim, DM Supreem directly on Discord.

What's changed
Eternal is a continuation of Legends of Aria, not a remake. It's the culmination of over a year of work, and it's the best version of Aria that has ever existed. The world you knew is intact, down to the towns and dungeons you spent years in. Your old character isn't coming with you, though. Eternal runs on a new account system, and everyone starts fresh together. What's different is the tuning underneath it, and the two biggest changes are both things being put back.
The first is the economy. When Aria launched, the best gear in the world came from crafters. Over the years, artifacts and stat-bearing drops arrived and quietly took that away, until the fastest route to power ran around crafters instead of through them. Eternal pulls that back. What the world drops now feeds crafting rather than replacing it, and the finest things in Aria come from players again.
The second is PvP. Aria's later era introduced professions, which narrowed the abilities any one character could take, and the community was clear at the time about how that felt. Professions are gone, the original abilities are back, and you still unlock them through books found out in the world. Swapping them is easier now too, handled at any town or inn, so the build you took into a fight last night doesn't have to be the one you take into the next one. Alongside that, alliances let guilds formalize who they stand beside, fly their own sigils, and contest control of cities.
There's a good deal more than that. Eternal has no subscription and no premium gates, so everything in the world is reachable by playing it. Mounted combat and Combat Mastery change how fights unfold, and accelerated skill gain gets you to the character you actually wanted to play. Enchanting has been overhauled. Rotating chaos zones and the Chaos Dungeon give organized conflict a place on the map. Add an in-game knowledge base and an experimental third-person camera, and there's more waiting than we can fit here.
We've been documenting the reasoning behind these changes in an ongoing dev diary on our Discord, posted alongside the people building this and the veterans who've been testing it for months. If you want the full account of what's different and why, it's all there.
The official server enters beta
The official server is run by the Aria Collective, a volunteer team of longtime Aria administrators and veterans working alongside Supreem, Emergent Worlds' lead developer. It comes online in beta on launch day.
The world is live and playable from the start. The ruleset is what we'll keep working on. There will be regular events throughout, and we'll be making changes based on what we see. When we believe it's ready, we'll announce a date for a final wipe and the official server's full launch. That will be the last wipe, and you'll have plenty of warning before it happens.
Whether you're planning to join the official server for beta or run your own, both doors open September 10th.
Legends of Aria is Eternal.
