Electronics Store Update

Hi everyone, the Electronics Store is now open!
Our brand-new map brings 6,203 items to tidy up, and this time, every single product is new. None of the products used in the Electronics Store have appeared in any of our previous maps.
The environment itself is also completely new, with a very different layout, atmosphere, product lineup, shelving, and overall feel. We wanted entering the Electronics Store to feel almost like stepping into a brand-new game.
From gaming consoles, games, PCs, and televisions to washing machines, refrigerators, hair clippers, kettles, vacuums, coffee machines, and other home appliances , we tried to cover as much of the electronics-store experience as possible.
In total, the update introduces approximately 350 unique products , alongside several completely new shelf and display types.
Our Highly Scientific “OCD-Centric Level Design”
Based on your feedback from the previous maps, we approached the Electronics Store with what we jokingly started calling our “OCD-centric level design” philosophy.
One of our main goals was to make it easier and more satisfying to create clean layouts while playing.
Products belonging together are placed and distributed with more care, related categories are positioned more logically, and the store layout has been designed to better support the way many of you naturally sort and group items before putting them onto shelves.
Basically: fewer moments where one lonely product makes you wonder why it is on the other side of the store.
At least, that was the plan.
A Different Approach to Achievements
We also listened to your feedback regarding achievements.
Unlike our previous maps, the Electronics Store does not include timed achievements or a No Skill Run achievement .
There is only a standard completion achievement for finishing the map.
We want achievements to add something enjoyable to the experience rather than make players feel pressured into playing the map in a specific way.
Map Progression
The Electronics Store is now the second map in the game , unlocking after the Toy Store.
If you have already completed the Toy Store on your existing save, the Electronics Store will automatically be available when you load the game.
4 New Arcade Tokens
There are 4 Arcade Tokens hidden somewhere inside the Electronics Store.
Good luck finding them all.
New Music & Atmosphere
Like our other maps, the Electronics Store comes with its own original background music.
We wanted the lighting, layout, product variety, displays, and music to work together so that the store actually feels like somewhere you could walk into and shop in.
Large Products
The Electronics Store introduces much larger objects than anything we have previously used.
This includes products such as washing machines, refrigerators, televisions, and other large appliances.
Large products now have:
Unique carrying poses Different pickup and throwing behaviour Adjusted physics to better communicate their weight Player collision while being carried
In co-op, you may also notice your friends carrying these giant products on their backs.
Normally, players can move through smaller products without colliding with them. For these larger objects, however, that looked particularly strange, so large carried products now collide with players.
Why Can You Still Put a Washing Machine in Your Inventory?
We experimented with several different systems for large objects.
We considered things such as requiring a trolley, creating a dedicated carrying mechanic, limiting movement, or introducing a special skill for transporting them.
The problem was that every solution introduced additional friction into one of the most fundamental parts of the game: picking things up and putting them where they belong.
After looking at how inventory abstraction is handled in many other games — where players can carry absurd amounts of equipment, construction materials, furniture, and everything else imaginable — we decided that preserving the existing inventory system was ultimately the better choice for gameplay.
So yes.
You can put a washing machine in your inventory.
Gameplay wins this one.
However, when interacting with these objects directly, we still adjusted their pickup, holding, throwing, physics, and animations to make them feel noticeably heavier than regular products.
Improved Product Physics
We have also improved the system responsible for settling products after they are thrown or dropped.
Products should now come to rest more physically accurately after landing.
This improvement applies beyond the Electronics Store as well and should make general product handling feel more consistent.
The Electronics Store is one of the largest additions we have made to the game so far, both in terms of new assets and completely new content.
We hope you enjoy exploring it, finding the Arcade Tokens, discovering all the new products, and — most importantly — creating unnecessarily perfect piles of electronics before putting anything on the shelves.
Have fun tidying! ⚡🛒
