Taking a step back for my mental health

Hey there Captains!

First, I want to thank all of you for the incredible support following the 1.0 launch and our exit from Early Access. Seeing so many of you playing and enjoying Null Horizon has been an amazing experience.

However, I need to be completely transparent with you about where I am at right now. The recent level of exposure and attention the game has received has been overwhelming, and honestly, it is much more than I was prepared for as a solo developer. I've been handling everything by myself and it's honestly taxxing. It's more than I can handle right now.

I suffer from severe panic disorder, and navigating this sudden surge in visibility has taken a heavy toll on my mental health. Because of this, I need to take an immediate and complete break from development to focus on my well-being.

What this means for the immediate future is that I will be stepping away from actively monitoring the Discord server, bug reports, and Steam discussion boards. Null Horizon is in a solid place with the 1.1 release, and I am going to let the game stand on its own while I take the time I need to rest, recover, and get back to a healthy baseline. I've pushed one last hotfix for now that will change when NPCs post bounties on the player from a % chance per turn to per infraction.

I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together with this game, and I am profoundly grateful for this community. Thank you for your patience, your empathy, and for giving me the space I need right now.
