Oikizo: This Version Wasn't Supposed to Be Here… But We're Leaving It Up
Hi everyone,
We're going to be completely transparent with you, because you deserve the truth: the version of Oikizo currently live on the main (Default) branch wasn't supposed to be there.
Due to a mistake on our end , we pushed this build to the main branch when it was actually meant for the Beta branch — the one reserved for testing. In short: a slip of the hand, and a test build ended up in everyone's hands instead of just a few.
Why aren't we pulling it right away? Because — the silver lining in this blunder — it's playable. Before, the game simply wouldn't launch. Now you can actually start a game and play it for real. Rather than putting everything back in the dark, we'd rather own the mistake, let you dive in, and gather your first impressions.
But let's be clear about what you've got in your hands:
This is NOT the version we planned to show you. Not the "showcase" build, not the final state, not even close. It contains bugs. It's a test build: that's normal, that's expected, and every bug you report saves us precious time. It's playable, but unstable in places.
What's coming next: Development is running at full speed. We're actively fixing things, day after day. Our goal hasn't changed: to deliver a proper Early Access update — clean, solid, and finally worthy of what we want Oikizo to be. This accidental build is just an imperfect taste — think of it as a behind-the-scenes peek, not the official release.
How you can help: While it's up, make the most of it: play, break the game, and tell us everything. Your feedback and bug reports are the fuel for this phase. Join us on our Discord to report a bug, share an idea, or follow development up close.
Thanks for your patience with this little hiccup… and thanks for being here so early in the journey. We're building Oikizo with you .
