Howdy Folks!
Hope everyone is doing well out there. I wanted to update you all on what I've been working on. Additionally I'll let you know when content update 2, better known as the Upgrades update, will be available on experimental and what will be included.
Progress Report
As covered in the previous developer log, I've been working hard on setting up the new upgrade system. You'll be able to improve your cleaning bot in various ways using the remaining resources you collect in each level.
Remaining resources in a level will get turned into Upgrade Scrap at the end of each level, as shown below.
Upgrade Scrap can then be used to purchase upgrades.
This new system allows for some fun new ways to progress through the game and I'm very excited to hear your feedback on it. What upgrades will you prioritize? Is there an upgrade group that should be added?
Coming To Experimental Branch
The Upgrades update will be coming to the experimental branch this Thursday May 28 ! This will include the new upgrades system as well as a new cleanable level. A second cleanable level is in development and is expected to be added to the experimental branch later.
What Is the Experimental Branch?
The experimental branch serves as a dedicated testing environment for upcoming major updates. It offers a first look at new features and levels that are nearly finished but still undergoing final adjustments. I invite anyone who wants to play an active role in the development process to join this branch and share their thoughts.
