The 2026 World Update uses the latest global data sets from the World Bank to upgrade the core Plague Inc. simulation model gamewide - including for the newly added Xenolith disease type .
If you want to live in the past, then the free Plague Legacy scenario is available to everyone and puts things back to the way things were in 2012!
Amazingly, Plague Inc. is 14 years old now and we couldn’t have kept on updating it without all your support. If you'd like to support us more, drop us a review; every one helps!

- Fixed an issue where Cure Research could go negative in Xenolith
- Fixed an issue where in rare situations Active Abilities could stay inaccessible in Xenolith
- Xenolith Genes are now counted in the "Unlocked Genes" stats
- Fixed issue where Darwin Award Outbreak modifier would pick starting traits
