8th Patch - LET IT BURN - New: Zone, Furnace Facility, Weapons, Items, Enemies

PATCH C: "LET IT BURN" is here!

This update opens up a brand-new part of the world with the Furnace Facility, a new sub-zone filled with new threats, new encounters, and more story to uncover.

Face the new Flamethrower Goliath and Burning Zombie, get your hands on the Flamethrower, and take on the new Furnace Event.

We've also expanded and improved existing areas of the world, added Chapter Select, introduced new Night Raid waves, and made a large number of performance, multiplayer, visual, and gameplay improvements.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

NEW ZONE + FURNACE FACILITY

Added a new island featuring the Furnace Facility.

Added the new Furnace Event.

Added the Flamethrower as a new weapon.

Added new weapons and equipment like rapid fire crossbow:

New Enemy Burning Zombie – sets the player on fire when they get too close.

New Enemy Flamethrower Goliath – a heavily armored soldier equipped with a flamethrower and resistant to fire damage.

Added new environmental assets, decorations, terrain, ocean-floor details, Points of Interest, objective markers, and exit markers.

Expanded the main storyline with new story content.

CHAPTER SELECT

  • Added a new Chapter Select feature, allowing players to start the game from selected locations with appropriate equipment and loot.
  • Chapter Select is currently available in Single Player only.

OTHER GAMEPLAY CHANGES

  • Expanded and improved the Main Island, including the railway, bridge, enemy lairs, and the area surrounding the Drill Site.
  • Expanded the finale of the Bossgdan encounter, including a new arena exit, loot room, and additional rewards.
  • Added Mist blocking access beyond the current Early Access area.
  • Rebalanced existing enemies.
  • Added new enemy waves to Night Raids.
  • Added new cooking sound effects.
  • Added an audio cue when a dish cannot be prepared.

TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENTS

  • Reduced memory usage and unnecessary processing related to items, effects, and interactions.
  • Optimized objects, rendering, and loading to reduce performance drops.
  • Improved event synchronization for players joining an ongoing multiplayer session.
  • Improved the stability of item and interaction systems.
  • Reduced save file size.

BUG FIXES

  • Improved door opening behavior and animations.
  • Fixed collision issues around the Bridge, Drill Site, railway, rocks, and other areas of the map.
  • Fixed projectiles sometimes failing to disappear correctly after impact.
  • Fixed multiple locations where players could become stuck, encounter floating objects, or leave the playable area.
  • Fixed issues with locks, controls, and skipping the final sequence of the Chomper encounter.
  • Fixed an issue where the Mist would sometimes remain inside the Bossgdan Silo.
  • Significantly improved the visual quality of many objects on lower graphics settings.
  • Added numerous multiplayer fixes and optimizations.
  • Fixed interactions with water reservoirs, including issues with slowly sinking to the bottom and being unable to swim back to the surface.
  • Added numerous lighting fixes and improvements.
  • Fixed ammunition UI display issues across multiple weapons.
