s&box Free Play Weekend and Game Jam Grand Finals!
Free Weekend
To celebrate the Game Jam grand final, s&box is free to play from Friday 2nd (6PM BST) to Monday 5th October.
Over 400 games were made for the jam in three weeks, so many awesome unique experiences. If you've been curious about s&box, this is the best time to jump in. Play the finalists, dig through the entries, and vote for the one you think deserves to win.
Game Jam Grand Finals
Our third Game Jam is down to its last two games. The theme is "One More Round", the prize pool is £50,000, and from over 400 entries, two finalists are now going head to head. Everyone who plays gets a vote, and the winner is crowned on Saturday 3rd October. First place takes £20,000, second takes £10,000.
Play both, then vote for the one you want to win.
GAMMA ☢ TEAM by Solo Queue
A co-op salvage game set in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. You and your crew work for a company that only cares about one thing: the quota. Go into the Zone, loot what you can, survive the mutants, and bring your dead home. The debt is almost paid. Just one more run.
This is Solo Queue's first project, and it's peer-to-peer co-op built entirely during the jam. They've already got plans for new locations, new monsters, more branching dungeons, and controller and Steam Deck support.
RUN IT AGAIN by MONOCULTURE INTERACTIVE
A fast-paced FPS built around speed and precision. You're dropped into a series of simulated combat scenarios. Pass and you move on to the next round. Fail and you run it again. Beat the simulation, beat your personal best, beat the par time. Keep going until you're perfect.
Game Jam Runner Ups
Keg Quest by Mighty Brick
3rd place, £8,000
Frank needs a keg from the cellar. It should be a simple job. Head down, grab the keg, bring it back up. How hard can it be?
From the team behind Lawn Scare, which placed 3rd in our last Game Jam.
Catz VS Ratz by Witch Cat 4th place, £7,000
A co-op tower defence game for up to six players. You play as cats defending your city from waves of rampaging rats, using abilities and weapons to survive wave after wave. Made in under three weeks by a solo developer.
Roundabout by Braxnet 5th place, £5,000
A traffic puzzle game with real road rules. Solve the puzzles, or build your own town.
Thank you to everyone who made a game for this jam. Over 400 of you built something in three weeks. Go find a few that didn't make the finals, some of our favourites are in there. We hope you find something you love this weekend.
