Practice Map and Gameplay Improvements
Practice Map and Gameplay Improvements
Pressing Play now takes you straight to the practice map. While waiting for six players, everyone can play independently, encounter bots and creatures, and escape through the gate. Once six players have joined, the practice sessions end and everyone moves to the main match map to start a fresh match together.
This update also improves items, interactions, and how the game looks and feels when playing with others.
Practice Map and Creatures
- Abyss Legis now pursues and attacks bots, including downing them. We also fixed an issue that could leave it stuck after an attack.
- Multiple small creatures can now appear. Their spider webs can be destroyed by repeatedly pressing the interaction button.
- Improved the visual effects of the plush toy curse and the way carried items drop when it knocks a player unconscious.
Items
- Adjusted bear trap placement. Once a trap has been triggered, it now disappears correctly for other players too.
- Improved the drone’s scanning effects and enemy team location display.
- Adjusted the spawn position, trajectory preview, and throwing animation for Blaster Balls and Smoke Bombs. You can now cancel while aiming, before throwing.
- Improved barricade previews, placement, sound effects, and the button mash display used to destroy them.
- Fixed an issue where a used item could reappear in the inventory display after picking up another item.
Controls and Display
- Only one player can use a locker at a time. A sound now lets you know when you try to open an occupied locker.
- Progress is now displayed when repeatedly pressing the button to revive a downed player.
- Hallway lights and in-match background music now display and play correctly for each player.
- Removed the E key prompt at the start of the game, so you can move right away.
- Your character remains visible, and your selected skin is retained, after returning to the lobby from the results screen.
- Improved the experience display on the results screen. Level changes now appear as you earn experience, and your progress carries over to your next game.
We’ll continue improving the game as more issues come to light.
