How Does Our New Game Release Impact On Stormworks?
Dear Stormworkers,
Our new game, Anymaker, has just released. We want to discuss what this means for Stormworks and what our plans are going forward.
9 years ago, Stormworks beta 1 released to a closed group of players by invitation. Since then, we have released hundreds of updates, as the game has grown to include huge ships, trains, mining, space craft, military vehicles, and more. We have learnt so much in that time from players, and from the challenge of building the game. With over 1 million players, it has been an incredible journey.
And that journey will continue. Anymaker is simply a different game, and has never been intended as a replacement for Stormworks. The blocks are smaller, the building works completely differently, and honestly, there are up sides and down sides to these differences. Stormworks has a charm that is bound to its block size, and for me, there will be many vehicles which are better built in Stormworks.
Development will continue at the existing pace, and with the focus on quality and improvements that we have been doing for the last year or so.
Anymaker pricing has been set to match that of Stormworks ($25 USD), but the Stormworks and CC2 currency conversion pricing has not been updated for a while, so we are updating Stormworks and CC2 to use Valves latest currency conversion pricing. The USD price won't change, but we will just be using Valves latest regional pricing which they update from time to time, so the price might go up a small amount in your currency. This will be applied in the next month or so.
Thanks to all of you who have supported Stormworks by playing it, sharing your creations, or sharing feedback. It's an honor to make your game.

Much love <3,
