BEND THE RULES WITH UNO FLEX! PLUS MEDAL UPDATES & PC OPTIMISATIONS
Hi UNO™ players!
We’re Snap Finger Click, a small, independent studio of developers working on UNO™, and we love creating party games for your game nights.
Today, we are launching an exciting new game mode that will force you to rethink your entire strategy. Get ready to bend the rules with UNO Flex! We’re also rolling out a refresh of the in-game UI and Profile screens, plus some major PC file size optimisations. Let's get into the details!
NEW DLC: UNO FLEX
Based on the hit physical card game, UNO Flex is brand-new DLC that introduces double-featured cards and special "Flex" powers.
Every player starts with a green "tick" Power Function on the gameboard. While you have the green tick, you can choose to "Flex" a card to use its secondary colour or action! Once used, your Power Function turns into a red "cross" until all players have used their Power Function, or until a Wild All Flip or a numbered "Flip" card restores it.
Here are the game-changing Flex cards you will need to master:
- Flex Colour Cards: Stuck without a matching colour? Flex this card to play its secondary colour instead.
- Flex Action Cards: Flexing a Draw 2 forces every opposing player to draw 1 card. Flexing a Reverse acts as a Reverse then Skip. Flexing a Skip skips everyone , letting you take another turn!
- Flex Wild Cards: Flexing the Wild All Draw makes every opponent draw 2 cards! Flexing the Wild Target Draw 2 or Wild Draw 4 allows you to choose exactly which opposing player receives the draw penalty!
- Wild All Flip: This card forces every player to switch their Power Function status.
MEDAL & UI REWORK
We have upgraded the in-game UI and Player Profile screens to a sleek new visual style:
- Medals: We have removed the category gates, meaning Classic, Social, and Action medals are now available to everyone from the start.
- Player XP: Your Player Level is now proudly displayed next to your avatar during matches.
- In-Game Buttons: We have cleaned up the "Call UNO," "Challenge," and "Card Descriptions" prompts. You will now see a refreshed visual design for these buttons across all game modes and platforms, whether you are using a controller, mouse, or touchscreen.
PC OPTIMISATIONS
For our PC players, we have significantly optimised the game's file structure. We have removed duplicated files, drastically reducing the overall package size. This means faster downloads, less storage space used, and a more efficient UNO™ experience!
