The void shifts. VoidCraft 0.1.0 is here - Foundation Systems.
This is the big one: the foundation every future universe is built on. Hundreds of changes have landed since the first stars lit up, and 0.1.0 pulls them all together into one living galaxy. Here is everything waiting for you, Commander.
🌍 Your worlds, in real 3D
Every planet is now a real 3D world, rendered from its biome, and your home opens framed on the planet and its sun. The Command screen is yours to arrange - drag and resize panels until the layout fits how you play. Your build, research and shipyard queues live right on the dashboard, screens fill your viewport, and everything loads far faster than before. No 3D graphics on your machine? A Reduced Graphics mode keeps it smooth.
🌌 A galaxy you can actually read
The Galaxy Map shows only your universe, opens on your homeworld, and stays put when you click around. Distances are now true travel distances, recon trails land exactly on the wedge you targeted, and "Jump to" search and a discovered-sectors rail get you anywhere you have been in a tap. Recon any reachable sector straight from the map, dispatch a fleet from the galaxy inspector, and follow your fleets as they cross into the next sector. The frontier is richer than the core, so there is a real reason to push outward.
⛏️ An empire economy with teeth
Mines scale far harder with level, the Fusion Reactor genuinely powers your grid, and the Research Lab is now a real economy lever. Specialised production buildings, Storage, the Terraformer, Alliance Depot, Missile Silo and Space Dock have all joined the BUILD catalog - and every building shows exactly what an upgrade gives you before you commit, biome bonuses included. Derived and advanced materials are real now, with their own production recipes you can pause without losing your stockpile.
🔬 Research, redesigned - all the way to the endgame
The research tree is now a clean tier-by-branch matrix that reads at a glance, remembers where you were, and highlights a tech's full prerequisite chain when you click it. Crystallography boosts your crystal mines, Plasma Technology is live, and the endgame tier has arrived: Antimatter, Dark Matter Weaponry and the Singularity Drive. The endgame is within reach sooner than it has ever been.
📈 Living markets and Galactic Trade
Every trading pair in every sector now shows a live, continuously moving chart - no more empty "no trades yet" screens. Galactic Commerce opens early so you can browse from level one. Trades are real cargo runs now, not instant clicks: post an order, and a hauler (or a hired GalakTrading courier) actually flies it. Dark matter is a real currency, exotic materials show honest prices before anyone trades, and every settled trade reports back in your events feed.
🚀 Fleets and contracts that fly real missions
The Contracts board is online and refreshes every hour with per-tier slots - four accepts per tier per day. Contracts now fly genuine missions: escort, transport, colonize, recon. Pick the exact ships that fly each job, choose your hold, and watch the whole journey on the map. Rewards scale to your own progression score and stay inside their tier's band, and every contract reports back on how the job ended.
⚔️ Combat: real-time sieges, to the death
Battles are now a fight to the finish, fought in real time, where reinforcements and relief fleets can actually arrive mid-siege. Fleets burn munitions, defences stack up against heavier raids, capital fleets attrite over long fights, and friendly fire is tallied honestly. Watch your battles live, join one late and see everything you missed, and fire Interplanetary Missiles straight from the galaxy map. Captured relics now boost your empire - Aegis shields your defences, Lens sharpens your recon.
🛰️ Cyberwarfare goes live
Hacking is here. Decrypt an enemy's outgoing orders and battle reports, run a Galaxy View Spoof to plant a decoy in their home system, or hit them with System Override the moment your fleet lands - hijack a missile in mid-flight, or knock their missile defences offline. Counter-Intelligence flags the spies' lies, Phalanx scans warn when a hack is poisoning your results, and a Purge Scan clears infections.
🤖 An AI Advisor, Admiral, and Governor at your side
Meet your AI Advisor: talk to it, and it keeps a living onboarding checklist that ticks itself off as you play, recommends real worlds to colonise, and turns its keywords into direct links into your empire. Put a Governor on a planet to run it while you are away, and hand the AI Admiral command of your fleet to run expeditions for you. Both report back everything they did - nothing happens off the books.
🧭 Quests and onboarding that guide you
A first-look briefing welcomes you to every new planet, and your quest log follows the planet you are viewing and points you at your biome's economy research. A new questline walks you into derived materials step by step. Each colony runs its own quests, and every completed quest across all your planets now counts toward your rewards.
🤝 Alliances and the Galactic Rankings
Alliances can fund shared projects for alliance-wide buffs, Alliance Depots fuel your allies' defences, and you can fly your alliance's colours. The Galactic Rankings are live, your profile carries a Progression Score, and non-aggression pacts hold raiders at bay.
🛡️ Fair play, protected sleep
New commanders get 15 days of attack protection. Set your timezone and hostile NPC raiders will not strike during your local night - your overnight is automatically protected. Colonize in peace with no forced first strike, and the bashing rule is now enforced so no one can pile on endlessly.
🎨 Cosmetics, lore, and the little things
Launch cosmetic bundles ship in the catalog and auto-grant on sign-in, the cosmetics store lives in the menu, and you can spend Iridium and dark matter on it. The lore archive has opened its doors - structures carry voiced dossiers, a LORE tab on each building, and in-universe terms now carry their backstory. Plus a redesigned Patch Notes and Change Log, push notifications on desktop and Steam, a number-format toggle, privacy controls, and the mobile client caught all the way up to desktop.
This is the foundation. Every universe from here grows on top of it. See you out there, Commander.
