Higher Standards Patch
Sup guys! We weren't planning to drop a second patch in a week, but since we had to push out a couple of critical fixes and some work-in-progress was gonna leak anyway, we decided to make this a legit quality-of-life patch. We're skipping bullet points on this one since gibberish sounds better as a paragraph...so yeah, this is gonna get weird. Also, this counts as the "monthly" patch we missed while puking our brains out in Highnam
This patch brings popularity-driven shop traffic, rebalanced merch sales, a better sample flow, and a bunch of polish & improvements to make your Highland experience a little bit more enjoyable.
Higher Profits
We've reworked shop traffic, so regulars come back more often and some addicts might roll in without even asking for a free sample. Different customer types go for different decor, so how you furnish the place helps decide what kind of crowd you pull in.
Getting them through the door is one thing. Getting them to buy your other shit takes some weed sales first. We've fixed and rebalanced merch demand so the more weed you sell them, and the stronger it is, the more merch they'll want. They'll check the displays that appeal to them most first, with more popular shops getting them to browse more displays. Customer budgets and merch sales have been rebalanced too, so better displays and expensive stock are worth spending money on.
Joint Ventures
We've sorted out what happens after you hand out a sample. Get someone Hooked and they'll follow you to the shop without giving a shit about the furniture. Forgot to open or already packed the place? You've still got a chance to sell to them outside. Give the same customer another sample too soon coz you can't tell these fuckers apart, or you're too high to remember who got one, and they'll take a puff and throw it back in your face. That's some next-level of disrespect, but hey, at least you get your sample back
Once you've got them interested, street deals should make a bit more sense, including the complaints when they turn down your offer... as long as you speak High. Playing as a LimpDick gives you more chances to haggle than a GigaChad, so getting greedy on the first offer doesn't fuck the whole deal.
Less Grind
Watering was a huge pain in the ass early on, so water bottles, jerrycans, barrels, and IBCs now hold more water. Less running back for refills while you're trying to get started. IBCs also supply more water to your grow setups, so you don't need as many of them. And we've fixed pumps failing to keep your pots and setups watered when you were far away.
You'll now get a heads-up when weed is ready to harvest or customers are waiting at a shop you're away from. Better Highpads also get reception farther away, so upgrading one is actually useful when you're out doing shit.
High Times
We've put a lot of work into the co-op TV sync, so getting high and watching something together should involve less fucking around while trying to stay on the same part of the video. Pausing, changing videos, and catching up after buffering or ads should work better. We couldn't get YouTube to skip the ads without Premium or breaking their TOS tho... we tried. Super Mole has been demolished and replaced by Village Makgro, with more supplies and smoking gear at 10% lower prices. You can grab your shit cheaper without paying for shipping on top, provided you get off your ass and go there during the day. And lastly, fishing has been reworked, with clearer bite cues so you know when to reel it in and a bigger variety of catches. There's more junk, seeds, supplements, and equipment to pull out of the water now, instead of the same busted bong over and over.
Mo Jiggle
Also, we've spent way too much time fixing jiggling tits clipping through clothes. The tits still jiggle, just with less of them sticking through a fucking shirt. Still not sure if it's a pro or a con though tbh
Anyway, enough about tits. You've got a shop to run and we've got more shit to finish. If something's busted, let us know so we can spend the next week staring at that instead.
Have a good one, peace!
