This update introduces a new post-match victory podium, weapon balance adjustments, performance improvements, and important bug fixes to Apewar!

We're continuing to improve the overall gameplay experience while making the game more enjoyable, competitive, and stable.

What's New

New Post-Match Victory Podium

The top-performing players can now celebrate their achievements at the end of every match!

• In team-based game modes, the top 3 players from the winning team will appear on the podium. In Free For All, the top 3 players on the overall leaderboard will take the spotlight.
• Players will appear with their own characters, cosmetics, and emote animations.
• The podium displays player names, kill counts, and total scores.
• The first-place player will receive a special MVP badge on the podium.
• Confetti effects and celebration animations make the end of each match even more exciting!

Supporter Pack DLC

• A Banana reward has been added to the Supporter Pack DLC.

Weapon Balance Changes

Sniper weapon damage has been increased to improve their effectiveness in long-range combat.

Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements

Gameplay & Server Fixes

• Room Stability: Fixed freezing issues that could occur in Free For All rooms after a player left the match.
• Quick Match: The Play system no longer places players into password-protected rooms. Quick matchmaking now connects players exclusively to public rooms.
• Leaving Rooms: Fixed an issue where the Leave Room confirmation window could remain stuck on the screen after pressing ESC. Background logging errors will also no longer prevent players from leaving a room.

Performance & System Stability

• Improved overall error handling to reduce the risk of a single component failure affecting other game systems.
• Implemented various system improvements to reduce unexpected freezes and stuttering during matches.
• Fixed an issue that prevented underwater effects from functioning correctly in certain situations.
• Eliminated unnecessary background error logs to reduce system overhead and improve performance.

Display & Startup Fixes

• Fullscreen Issue: The game now launches in Fullscreen Window (Borderless Fullscreen) mode by default. This resolves black screen and freezing issues during startup caused by Exclusive Fullscreen mode.
• Made improvements to reduce stuttering during the Unity startup splash screen.

Visual Improvements

• Updated the Unity startup splash screen with a new dark theme that better matches the game's visual identity.
