Four players, one farmstead: co-op is in

Bugs & Birdies now has online co-op for up to four players. Open your world to friends through Steam, build together, split up to mine and fish, and hold the beetles off side by side when the swarms come at night. Friends who return later pick up right where they left off, backpack and all.

And that is only part of it. The game has grown a lot since the page went live, in one big update full of new content:

• Fishing has been expanded massively: shadows under the water, a line you have to keep tight, and a different catch depending on weather, tide and time of day
• New bosses, some of them where you would least expect them
• The Wheel of Fate: every morning it decides what the day brings, from gentle rain to a full siege
• Weather: wind, rain, storms and fog banks
• Enchanting: a gem and a dragon tooth turn good gear into legendary gear
• Many new dungeons, each with its own twist
