Update 8 – Welcome to the Wild West

Hey everyone!

Update 8 adds a new desert continent in the northeast, inspired by the Wild West. Explore Redstone Canyon, check out the nuclear power plant, or head offshore to the new volcanic islands.

Here’s what’s new:

• Dustwing Airfield: Our second airfield is a small dirt airstrip where you can take a propeller plane for a flight. The plane can now fly twice as high.
• More vehicles: New rally cars, armored vehicles, and drivable desert tanks.
• Mission 22 — Beneath the Sand: Hunt tunnel spiders and desert scorpions in a new mission that unlocks after Mission 21.
• More aggressive police: Officers spot you faster and get out of their cars more often to engage.
• Performance improvements: Optimized police chases to reduce stuttering, especially while driving through the new region.
• Co-op fixes: Improved police pursuits, wildlife behavior, and damage syncing between players.
• Tougher wildlife: Spiders are faster and stronger. Bodyguards now help defend you against attacking wildlife.
• Weapon improvements: Better recoil on mounted machine guns and a harder-hitting revolver with updated sounds.

We’ve also fixed vehicle entry issues, misplaced scenery, and collisions that could leave characters stuck.
