Chobots is going multilingual!

Hey Chobots!

We've just rolled out a big update: Chobots now supports multiple languages in-game! Menus, dialogue, and in-game text have been translated so more players around the world can enjoy Chobots in the language they're most comfortable with.

How to change your language

Click the language dropdown (it shows your current language, like "English") and choose the one you want from the list. That's it!

NEW: Live chat translation

Talking with players from around the world just got a lot easier! Chobots now translates in-game chat live into your preferred language. When someone sends a message in Spanish, German, Chinese, or any of our supported languages, you'll see it in the language you've picked.

To power this, we run our own AI translation models (local LLMs) instead of sending your chat to an outside translation service.

You can adjust your chat translation settings anytime under Menu → Accessibility → Translation.

Machine translation isn't perfect, so the occasional message might come through a little funny. If something looks off, let us know so we can keep improving it! Open the in-game chat log and click " wrong? " to submit a report.

A quick note about our Steam page

You might notice our Steam store page still only lists English. That's because we're still finishing some work before we officially list the other languages there. Rest assured, the translations are already live in-game, and you can use them right now!

Help us improve

Translations are an ongoing effort. If you spot a typo, an awkward phrase, or something that's still untranslated, let us know in the surveys area of the client or start a discussion in our Steam Community Hub.
