Introducing Dark Hours: Anomalies, coming in the next major update!
Hello burglars,
I’ve got some big news for you today: a new major update is coming to Dark Hours next week, on October 22nd, and we’re excited to reveal a brand-new game mode, Dark Hours: Anomalies.
We’ve been wanting to explore the anomaly game genre for a while now, and the Dark Hours universe felt like the perfect fit. So we did it! Brace yourself: the Trickster has trapped you in an endless loop. Spot the anomalies, make the right call, and try to escape.
This game mode will be added for free on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Welcome to the Trickster’s Game
In Dark Hours: Anomalies, the Trickster has trapped your crew of thieves in an endless loop. His deal is simple: spot the anomalies to escape the loop. Fail, and you’ll stay trapped forever.
Explore every corner of a cursed train station, from the empty main hall to the hidden service corridors, and report anything that looks out of the ordinary. Then head back to the train and make the right call: Clear or Haunted? One wrong answer, and you’re back to the start.
What’s Waiting for You
- 1-4 player online co-op: the more eyes, the better
- A cursed train station full of shops, offices, restaurants and hidden corridors to search
- Over 40 supernatural anomalies to spot: every detail matters
- Clear or Haunted: one wrong answer sends you back to the start
- Observation-based gameplay: memorize your surroundings and trust your eyes
- Once a thief, always a thief: steal what you can along the way, but don’t let the loot distract you from the anomalies
Take a look at the trailer below to get a glimpse of what awaits you
PS: wondering about the “Wishlist Now” at the end of the trailer? I’m coming to that
Bring Your Friends Along
As I said, Dark Hours: Anomalies will be available for free to all Dark Hours players as part of the October 22nd update. But that’s not all! It will also be released as a standalone game on Steam on October 29th at $1.99, for players who’d like to enjoy this mode on its own without buying Dark Hours.
If you know friends who might be interested, don’t hesitate to tell them about it! And thanks to full crossplay, you’ll all be able to team up together, no matter which version of the game you own.
Feel free to spread the word!
Can’t Wait Until Next Week? Try the Playtest This Weekend!
A Steam playtest for Dark Hours: Anomalies opens this weekend on its standalone Steam page and sign-ups are already open. The playtest opens Friday, October 16th in the evening (CEST - Paris time) and runs all weekend long.
Request access on Anomalies' Steam page to get a first look before launch and share your feedback with us.
We really hope you’ll enjoy Dark Hours: Anomalies as much as we’ve loved making it. We can’t wait for you to discover it next week. There’s more coming in the major update, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise just yet, so that’s all for today!
Stay tuned for more, and as always, don’t hesitate to share your feedback with us on Discord or the Steam Discussions.
See ya!
