Mark Your Calendars: Dead Party Launches October 29th
Hello everyone,
We have a date. Dead Party launches on October 29th, TWO days before Halloween, right when Shady Hill needs you most. Clear your schedules, gather your friends and maybe start stretching those guitar fingers.
We wanted this one to land at the right moment and the zombie onslaught is restless, awaiting the Halloween rush. The UFOs are already circling and you now have a deadline to gather your squad.
Now, the good stuff. We have been keeping a few gameplay details close to our chest, and today feels like the right time to share them. Here is a look at what is waiting for you on October 29th.
Equipment Perks
Equip your survivors with new gear as you level up by killing zombies and getting through levels. Each piece of gear that you unlock provides interesting perks. For example, you can equip Ashley with the Healer glasses, which empowers her healing Guitar abilities by draining the health of nearby zombies. By combining different Gear perks, you can create your own character builds to survive the apocalypse.
Guitar Effects
Speaking of guitars, each character has a unique guitar effect. By default all characters can damage nearby zombies and cause them to dance with their personal guitar riffs, but each character has an additional effect to their music. For example, Jack the construction worker fittingly has the ability to “nail” down zombies in place with his Guitar, causing them to be unable to move for a period of time.
Skull Cannon Mode
The full game features a gameplay mode that has not yet been featured in the demo: the Skull Cannon mode. UFOs in the sky appear to be tied to the undead apocalypse, and the only way to take them down is to collect the skulls of defeated zombies, load up a giant cannon, and fire away!
Weapon Types
We have a whole arsenal of weapons up our sleeves. Whether you prefer to get up close and personal with a shotgun, chuck a hamburger bomb in a room full of zombies, or lay down your turrets and watch the show. It's all there at your disposal!
Zombies!
No party would be complete without some zombies right? We added a number of unique zombies for you to discover (and kill)! Get yourself and your team ready to face off some Radioactive zombies that spray poisonous gas upon death. Tesla zombies zapping you with their deadly lightning abilities from across the room. Or even crazier Bomber Head zombies that explode once they get close to you! Discover them all and perhaps you can even find a way to use some to your advantage!
Dead Party was also formed with the previous feedback gathered from players of Dead Block, we are excited to show what we have in store!
If you have not already, add Dead Party to your Wishlist right here on Steam! It helps more than you know and it means that you will be the first to know when the zombies descend on Shady Hill. We are in the home stretch now and we cannot wait to share what comes next.
Make sure to join the Dead Party Community Discord as well for more updates!
Coming soon to Shady Hill,
