Dark Rebirth Launch Announcement
DEADHAUS SONATA REINVENTS ITSELF / LAUNCHING OCTOBER 20
Spiritual Successor to 'Legacy of Kain' To Release Free Major Update Vastly Improving Visual Performance, Overhauling Combat Mechanics, Upgrading to Unreal Engine 5.7, and Much More
Deadhaus Sonata , the dark fantasy ARPG series from Denis Dyack, (Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen, Eternal Darkness,) is getting a ground-up overhaul. Dark Rebirth launches October 20th as a free update on Steam Early Access. Built on player feedback since launch, Dark Rebirth moves the game to Unreal Engine 5.7 and rebuilds most of what you see and play:
- Combat that hits harder: Retuned swords, heavy axes and spears, plus dismemberment and finisher executions
- A world five times bigger: The Vale has been rebuilt with more verticality, hidden paths and the new Land of the Dead hub
- Your vampire wears the damage: Your character visibly decays as you take hits, and you’ll climb from a broken blade and no armor to three tiers of vampire armor
- New build options: The Feats and Inscriptions system, Celestial Gates, and five new Tarot cards (12 total)
- Smoother performance: Much higher framerates and lower specs, including on Steam Deck
- Photo Mode: Plus a new camera system inspired by classic psychological horror games
Deadhaus Sonata will be 25% off, ($14.99) until October 26th on Steam.
