Deadly Trick

Version 0.1.18 Update

Finalblow Co.

Version 0.1.18 Update Notes

Deadly Trick has been updated to version 0.1.18.

For smooth gameplay and proper matchmaking, please update the game to the latest version before playing.

New Features

- Added visual effects for Evidence Removal.

This has been improved so that using the feature feels more intuitive and clearly conveys that clues have been erased.

- The time recorded by the Facial Recognition Scanner is now displayed.

Improvements

- Clue recording and display have been simplified.

Clues will now record only the location, the player, and the time of interaction. What the player actually did will no longer be recorded.

The UI currently applied is temporary and will be improved later to make it easier on the eyes.

This change also applies to Statements and Perjury.

Developer Note: Clearly showing who did what and where is one of the distinctive aspects of our game, but we also felt that it was harming the game's lightness and accessibility. For that reason, we have experimentally removed information about what actions were performed. If these changes cause any structural issues, we would greatly appreciate it if you could send us suggestions through the in-game report feature!

- Evidence Removal can no longer be used on objects that have no clues recorded on them.

Developer Note: We plan to improve the UI in the future so that the Evidence Removal feature is easier to recognize and understand.

- When the Black Hole Generator Deadly Trick is activated, the Library portal will now also turn red.

Bug Fixes

- Fixed bugs reported through the in-game report feature.

Developer Note: Major Update

[Part 1] Progress on the New Map

At this point, all of the blueprints for the new map have been completed.

Our team is currently working on new Class Activities and mechanics, and we have already assembled outsourced personnel who will create the objects based on the completed blueprints. Among all upcoming content, the new map is being treated as the highest priority and will be presented to you first.

[Part 2] Trial Phase Improvements

We were not able to mention this in advance, but this is a feature for which our team is currently testing an experimental prototype internally. (As we do not yet have final resources for it, please understand that the image has been blurred.)

Our goal is to move away from the current static Trial phase and rework it so that, during the Trial phase as well, players can directly control their characters and move around just as they do during the Escape and Investigation phases.

On top of that, players will be able to use a shared map for briefing, simple motions will play when presenting Statements, and you may even be able to bonk each other on the head with a gavel...

In any case, we plan to carry out this rework alongside development of the new map.

[Part 3] Progress on New Skins and the New Character

The LD work for the new skins has now been completed, and we are currently working on the SD Spine assets.

You can think of the new character as being at roughly a similar stage of progress.

These elements are planned to be released together when the new character is launched.

If we have more to show in the future, we will continue sharing it little by little.

Once again, thank you to everyone who has been waiting for the update. We sincerely appreciate your patience for just a little longer.

We will continue to quickly improve inconvenient aspects of the game based on your feedback.

Thank you sincerely to everyone who plays the game and sends us valuable reports and feedback!
