Patch 1.0.60.0
Hello, Dungeoneers!
First of all, thank you for your continued support and patience over the past few weeks. We’ve been closely monitoring your feedback and reports, and we’ve identified some issues that were still affecting some players.
This patch includes fixes and improvements addressing these reports, along with additional fixes across different areas of the game, including backpacks and death packs, multiplayer, save games, creatures, and more.
You can find the full list of changes below:
Items & Backpacks
- Fixed upgraded pickaxes appearing unupgraded to other players. Upgrades are now preserved correctly through item returns, pickup, equipping, and save/load.
- Improved item returns in the fungi pool. Affected items now return to clear ground near the staircase instead of remaining underwater or appearing behind walls.
- Improved return placement around crates, other items and occupied destinations. The Water Gate handle and other returning objects should no longer appear inside movable props.
- Improved water detection and handle seating around deep pools, tilted water volumes, waterfalls and uneven ground.
- Fixed repeated shore relocations caused by placing packs on ground that floods during water cycles.
- Fixed backpacks retaining an attachment to an old supporting crate after being picked up and dropped elsewhere.
- Fixed outdated drop requests releasing backpacks at an earlier position.
- Fixed floating backpacks passing through overhead obstacles or solid ground during water-level changes. Packs blocked from rising can still descend when the water drains.
- Improved recovery of embedded or fallen objects. Objects now wait and retry when no safe destination is available instead of repeatedly returning to an unsafe position.
- Fixed an issue that caused weapons to lose their upgrades when placed on the Temple statue, including after saving and loading.
- Water Flask consumption fix to sync properly when playing as a client
- Weapon upgrades, when placed on food statues, could no longer be deleted
Deathpacks
- Deathpacks from ordinary dry-land deaths now remain at the recorded death location, with a small adjustment to rest on nearby ground. Delaying respawn, moving props or later water changes no longer relocate settled packs.
- Fixed deathpacks appearing above the ceiling near the Sewers entrance and valve.
- Deathpacks from the eel boss area now return to the nearby room beside the boss.
- Improved placement around the three-pipes pool. Searches now favor more of the surrounding room while avoiding floors above or below it.
- Deathpacks inside the designated clock chamber now return to the dry room beside the clock, whether the chamber is flooded or drained.
- Added immediate load-time recovery for confirmed deathpacks trapped in the eel boss room’s roof, beneath the three-pipes pool, inside the clock chamber’s roof or stone, and underwater in the fungi pool. Recovery preserves their contents.
- Improved placement when recovery destinations are occupied. If the clock room is completely blocked, affected packs remain stationary and retry when space becomes available.
- Legitimate packs in nearby dry areas and the playable room beneath the three-pipes pool remain in place.
Multiplayer & Save Games
- Fixed carried-backpack references and inventory displays becoming inconsistent between players.
- Improved backpack restoration when reconnecting while carrying a bag, and fixed an error when closing the backpack display.
- Fixed saves and inventory refreshes using outdated food-age information.
- Fixed an item-recovery issue that could prevent saving even when a valid original spawn location was available.
- Improved compatibility with older kitchen saves, preserving existing items and preventing repeated restoration of the same records.
- Improved detection of conflicting item data when loading saves.
- Added recovery for confirmed corrupt legacy pack positions while preserving pack contents and identity.
Creatures
- Fixed eels damaging players through the Sewers boat or solid obstructions. Attacks now recheck the target when the hit lands, including when a player boards during an attack.
- Eels overlapping the boat now wait until they have room to emerge and attack. Waiting no longer restores their health.
- Fixed eel respawn and multiplayer animation errors involving hidden eels, water drain/refill cycles and returning to an inactive area.
- Fixed misleading frog animation warnings during hiding and reactivation.
- Bat pathfinding fix in sewers 3 pipes room (Bats would stuck above pipe)
Known Issues
- The cause of the previously reported large backpack upward jump remains under investigation. The confirmed flotation-through-obstacles issue has been fixed.
- A pack on a high shelf in the Crypt remains difficult to access. Its contents are preserved while its accessibility and recovery destination are investigated.
- Some older saves (rare!) may still contain stranded packs whose intended recovery location cannot be established safely.
- Loose items already stranded behind walls in the fungi area may sometimes remain there. The new load-time recovery applies to confirmed stranded deathpacks.
