A Thank You Note from Snapshot Games & What’s Next
Hi everyone,
Can’t believe it’s been a week since 1.0 launch! Thank you for playing the 1.0 version and for your feedback. We wanted to share a quick thank you note, but also share how your feedback is extremely valuable – and share what we have planned moving forward based on your feedback.
First: Thank You for Playing the 1.0 Version!
It’s been great to see you all jump into the 1.0 version of the game, so thanks so much for playing! We’ve been really enjoying all the discussions here in Discord, all the content creator and press coverage – including being featured in the Galaxies Showcase – and just seeing the game being played around the world. Thank you for playing, for supporting us and for sharing your feedback!
However, from feedback, we know the game isn’t as perfect as it could be – there’s work we need to do. We’ve noticed there are crashes and bugs, including multiplayer de-sync issues, that need to be fixed, and we want to get these resolved as quickly as possible.
We’d love to make the digital version FROSTHAVEN the best it can be, but we’d like your help!
Keep the Feedback Coming: Report Any Issues!
Currently, we’re having trouble reproducing several of the reported issues on our side internally. To get fixes deployed faster, we need your help with sharing specific details on the issues.
If you are experiencing crashes, freezes, or major bugs, please share specific details with us in our Discord’s #bug-reports channel. You can also report issues in-game, by pressing F10 on your keyboard in-game and enter your report, which will send all the information directly to our development team.
What would help us the most for reporting issues in the #bug-reports channel via Discord:
- Title : Include the scenario and high-level details of the issue
- Example: Crash when choosing card
- Platform : Add the platform you're playing on (Steam or Epic Games Store).
- Description : Describe the problem as best as you can
- Media : If possible, add screenshots or videos to help us better understand the problem.
- Crash Logs / Save Files : Please upload your log files (located at: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Snapshot Games Inc\Frosthaven)
- Label the Report Accordingly : We have new labels for you to specifically label the issue you’re experiencing.
What’s Next & Future Updates
The team is actively investigating, and your reports will directly help us pinpoint the root causes, so we encourage you to keep the reports coming. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be working on and releasing hotfixes and patches to make the FROSTHAVEN experience even better. Our team is hard at work responding to the feedback so far - expect to see a continual stream of updates to the game over the coming weeks.
Here are the top issues we’re looking into & plan on addressing:
Multiplayer De-Sync Issues
We've received reports from players experiencing desyncs and other multiplayer issues. These problems are difficult to reproduce on our end, so having your reports on these issues would be extremely valuable. In the meantime, we're continuously working to improve game stability and are deploying patches to address known issues.
Optimization Issues
We also know players are experiencing bugs and crashes throughout the 1.0 version. We’re looking into the bugs and crashes that have been reported (either via Discord or in-game using our bug report tool), so please continue to report them. We want to make sure your adventure is as smooth as possible.
Aside from patches, we know there’s one key feature, House Rules, that we had planned for the 1.0 launch that sadly did not make it in time. Our main priority for now is handling any issues first, before considering adding in any additional content. That said, we hope to have House Rules added in by the end of November at the latest, and we’ll keep you updated on any additional content plans!
Thank you again and see you all in the Frozen North!
