PATCH NOTES #013 - Session Codes & Quality of Life

Hey Runners! Hope you guys are doing well.

Today's update brings a major accessibility and multiplayer quality-of-life feature: Session Codes! You can now view, copy, and share session codes to invite friends directly, or join open lobbies using a simple code. In addition, Steam friends can now join "Invite Only" lobbies via Steam Presence ("Join Game").

We’ve also added customizable Door Interaction Control Options , split camera look sensitivity settings for Mouse vs. Controller, added Tutorial Subtitles (with a dedicated interface toggle), and fixed buried items under destroyed house ruins being not interactable!

PATCH NOTES

Bugs and reports that were addressed in this patch:

Added a Session Code section to the Session Info screen, allowing host players to view and copy their session code. Added a Join Session input field to the Session Lobby screen for direct code joining. "Invite Only" sessions now support Steam Presence joining (friends can right-click your profile and select "Join Game"). Added a Control option to open doors with the interact action (OFF by default) . Added a Control option to close doors with the interact action (ON by default) . Updated door display prompts dynamically based on state: "Unlock Door" , "Open Door" , and "Close Door" (previously displayed as just "Door") . Added subtitles to all tutorial videos. Added a Show Subtitles interface toggle in Settings (ON by default) . Added a Show Player Name Indicators interface toggle in Settings (OFF by default) . Added Portable Conductor Active loop sound. Added ground impact sound effects for Unused Energy Drinks, Used Energy, and Health Pills. Added a direction-change "bounce" effect to the Timing Line widget during fluid repairs. Added brand-new animations to the Logic widget (used for Battery & Spark Plug repairs). Updated the Doppler Radar : Incapacitated player icons have been reworked for much higher visibility, and Player/Tornado icons now render cleanly above grid lines. Improved match start network logic to prevent client players from getting unexpectedly kicked back to the main menu. Updated the Emote Wheel intro animation to stay hidden when rapidly spamming emote key combos (e.g., B+1, B+2). Updated Steam Disconnect/Reconnect notifications: Disconnect messages are now preserved until the error popup appears, and a clear notification is displayed when successfully reconnecting to Steam. Split Look Sensitivity and Invert Look options into independent settings for Mouse and Controller . Fixed an issue where Low Stamina loop sounds failed to play. Fixed an issue where players could interact with certain minigames (Timing Line, Timing Wheel, Multi-Wheel) during their opening intro animations. Fixed items buried under house ruins becoming uninteractable. Fixed spelling and typo errors across several lore archive entries. Fixed an issue where a host leaving during the end-game screen caused client players to return to an invalid lobby, leading to an infinite loading screen upon leaving. Fixed an issue where moving the controller right stick would not update or highlight selections in the Emote Wheel. Fixed an issue where a generic error message appeared when failing to join a session instead of specific "Match Full" or "Session Destroyed" notifications.

KNOWN ISSUES

These are some of the main issues that we are aware of and are currently being worked on:

Connection issues to servers or invitation issues. Performance issues on specific menus, when highlighting items, or when Alt + Tabbed out. Tornados having unusual colors sometimes.
