PC Update 1.2 Details - Patch Notes

Eden Games

PC Update 1.2 for Gear.Club Unlimited 3 is now live on Steam!

Steam will download it automatically. If it doesn't appear, restart Steam. This update brings shader pre-compilation to cut stutters, working cockpit displays on 14 cars, and a fix for Career progression in Chapter 5.

Playing on console? Update 1.2 arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S early next week.

Performance

  • Shader pre-compilation: on first launch, and after a graphics driver update, the game now prepares its shaders after the intro videos to reduce stutters during races. A progress indicator shows in the top-left corner while it works.
  • Faster loading: races load faster on many tracks.
  • Smoother rendering: rendering optimisations and fixed stutters.
  • Path tracing: optimisations and visual improvements.
  • Stability: memory usage fixes for long play sessions.

New: Working Cockpit Displays

Digital instruments and screens now show live information: speed, revs, gear, gauges and trip computers, plus the in-game radio on some infotainment screens. You'll find them on:

  • BMW Z4
  • Dodge Challenger R/T
  • Ford Mustang GT
  • Honda S2000
  • Lotus 3-Eleven
  • McLaren 720S
  • Mercedes-AMG GT S
  • Nissan 370Z and 370Z Nismo
  • Nissan GT-R and GT-R Nismo
  • Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) V-Spec II
  • Porsche 911 Carrera 4S
  • Subaru BRZ

Fixes

  • Career, Chapter 5: mandatory race 9 has been tuned, and the first optional race of each chapter now gives you the resources you need, so progression can no longer get stuck.
  • "Manager" achievement: assigning workshop engineers now unlocks it correctly. If you already meet the condition, it unlocks the next time you start the game.
  • Perf Shop: the parts list and car stats now update right after you reassign engineers.
  • Racing wheels: d-pad diagonals now work.
  • Mouse cursor: the Windows cursor is now hidden only while the controller cursor is showing.
  • MyNacon: account linking errors now stay on screen.
  • Pagani Huayra Roadster: the rear wing flaps move again.
  • Porsche 718 Cayman GT4: correct brake calipers.
  • Lighting: fixed rare square-shaped lighting artefacts.
  • Title screen: fixed a crash when no controller is connected.
  • Video options: the HDR calibration button is now greyed out instead of disappearing when HDR is unavailable, and the frame rate limiter slider no longer picks the wrong VSync setting.

Languages

  • Translation fixes in several languages, including Polish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese, for texts that showed the wrong words or were missing. The "Refresh rate" option is now translated too.
  • Car paint names now show in English in every language.
  • If your PC is set to a language the game doesn't support, the game now starts in a complete language instead of partly translated menus.
