[Important] Notice on Data Storage Changes and Steam Cloud Sync (9/2 11:00 PM)

Hello, this is the Hamster Talk team.

Thank you always for loving Hamster Talk.

On September 2 at 11:00 PM (PDT), the data storage system will be changed. Please review the information below to keep your valuable play data safe.

※ The update schedule has been changed to September 3 at 2:00 PM (KST). We apologize for any confusion this change may have caused.

1. Enable Steam Cloud Sync in Advance

A new account linking system will be applied with the September 2nd update.

To prevent data loss, we recommend enabling Steam Cloud sync before the update.

How to set it up:

Steam Library → Right-click [Hamster Tlak] → Properties → General → Enable Steam Cloud

2. Caution Before Deleting the Game or Changing PCs Prior to the Update

Please update the game first on the PC that contains your existing play data.

Deleting the game or switching PCs before applying the update may result in data loss.

(However, if you have already completed Steam Cloud sync, there is no issue.)

3. Key Changes Due to Network System Overhaul

After theSeptember 2, update, the following features will change:

• Town Visits: You can only visit the towns of currently online users.
• Nickname Search: If multiple users have the same nickname, you will be connected to the town of the first user returned in the search results.
• Lobby Capacity: Up to 64 players can join per lobby; if exceeded, the lobby will automatically split.
• Simultaneous Plaza Entry: If multiple players enter a Plaza within 2–3 seconds after it is created, they may be placed in different rooms. If this happens, leave and re-enter the Plaza to meet in the same room.
