Summer Game Fest – Highlights & First Impressions
Windup
The beginning of June was an exciting time for the team.
We had the opportunity to showcase Hela: Of Mice & Magic at The MIX Summer Game Showcase in Los Angeles, the Green Games Showcase , and Wholesome Direct 2026 , introducing the game to new audiences around the world.
It was also our first chance to meet with creators and members of the gaming media in person, talk about Hela, and watch them experience the game for themselves.
Seeing players step into the paws of our tiny mouse familiars, explore the world, and work together in co-op was a special moment for the entire team.
Over the course of Summer Game Fest, a number of previews, impressions, and reaction videos were published, and we'd like to share a few of them with you.
"After playing tons of games at SGF, both big and small, Hela still stands out"
- The Co-Op Bros
" Hela: Of Mice & Magic Is the Whimsical, Cozy Adventure I Didn't Know I Needed "
- PCMag
"Hela: Of Mice and Magic Captures The Wonder of Nature And The Beauty Of Co-Op"
- But Why Tho?
"Hela: of Mice and Magic is a Charmingly Delightful Physics Puzzler"
- TechRaptor
"Hela: Of Mice & Magic might just be the delightful indie we truly need"
- Checkpoint Gaming
"Hela: Of Mice & Magic truly channels that sense of wanderlust always found in the most addictive of titles"
- Gamers Heroes
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, played the game, shared their thoughts, or covered Hela during Summer Game Fest.
We're looking forward to showing you even more in the months ahead!
