Idle Abyss Princesses

v1.2.0 — Four New Heroines, Build Leaderboards and Combat Improvements

Peter

The roster grows from four heroines to eight with Tia the Machinist, Igni the Dragonkin, Vera the Necromancer and Yunyao the Cultivator. Each brings a resource mechanic, six skills, three talent paths, class equipment and a personal story. This update also adds build leaderboards, training dummies, an active-effect list, the Ember Furnace, and changes to inventory management and movement in combat.

Four new heroines

Machinist — Tia

An artificial mind left behind by the Ark. Tia uses Intelligence, ranged lightning attacks and control over the battlefield.

  • Basic attacks and skills build Heat. More Heat increases damage, but reaching the limit causes a venting explosion and briefly prevents skill use. Talents and equipment can change this cycle.
  • Her six skills cover turrets, a railgun, a protective field, a prism beam, gravity control and overclocking.
  • Her three paths focus on turret coordination, sustained beam damage, or force-field and gravity control.

Dragonkin — Igni

The last child of the ancient Emberwing dragon. Igni is a Strength-based melee heroine who fights with fire.

  • Dealing and taking damage builds Dragon Blood. Filling it activates Dragon Form, increasing damage, reducing incoming damage and empowering her skills.
  • Her six skills cover dragon breath, a roar, scale defenses, a diving attack, a tail sweep and battlefield-wide flames.
  • Her three paths build around sustained fire, aerial assaults, or the Dragon Form cycle.
  • Dragon Form now has its own dragon sprite on the battlefield, including movement, facing and combat animations. Igni returns to her human sprite when the form ends.

Necromancer — Vera

A keeper of the lamps. Vera is an Intelligence-based heroine who fights at medium range with corpses, summons and curses.

  • Defeated enemies leave corpses that certain skills consume, supporting skeleton armies, corpse explosions and curse-based damage.
  • Her six skills cover summoning, a march of the dead, a bone prison, a curse, corpse explosions and scythe attacks.
  • Her three paths focus on an undead army, plague and corpse explosions, or reaping enemies with her scythe.

Cultivator — Yunyao

A sword cultivator who fell into the Abyss during her heavenly tribulation. Her main attribute is Dexterity.

  • Basic attacks and skills build Sword Intent. Offensive skills spend it to increase their damage; spending a full stack guarantees a critical hit.
  • Her six skills include flying swords, a movement attack, a sword formation, lightning, meditation and a powerful sky-cleaving strike.
  • Her three paths focus on flying swords and formations, lightning combinations, or stored Sword Intent and burst damage.

Equipment, progression and character slots

  • Each new heroine has 24 class Legendaries, three class sets, nine Court items and corresponding Court powers.
  • The new classes support skill runes, talents, the Cube, camp bonds, dispatches, the codex and the existing equipment systems.
  • Character slots increase from six to ten, leaving more room for different classes and reforged copies.
  • Character creation now uses a portrait row with a larger preview showing the heroine's background, class trait and three paths. Use the left/right arrow keys to move focus, or click a portrait to begin.

Personal stories, manga and camp conversations

  • Each new heroine receives three personal chapters: 12 chapters in total, with corresponding manga assets.
  • Main-story and existing-character dialogue has been rewritten in a more conversational voice while preserving existing story IDs and manga-page associations.
  • Twenty camp conversations have been added across four pairs: Tia and Noelle, Igni and Fina, Vera and Cecilia, and Yunyao and Lynn. Each pair has five conversations.
  • The new heroines have their own camp progression milestones and account-wide bond bonuses.

Build leaderboards

Open the new leaderboard button on the top bar to compare different aspects of a build and inspect the setup behind a record.

  • Twelve metrics are available: overall output, toughness, maximum life, main attribute, critical chance, critical damage, attack speed, skill damage, cooldown reduction, armor, all resistance and damage to elites.
  • Each metric has an all-class board and separate class boards.
  • Values are recalculated with Paragon levels and allocated Paragon points removed. Camp bonds, Court equipment, Oddities and the Cube still count.
  • Records include class, primary talent path and choices, skills and runes, all 12 equipment slots, Ancient/Primal status, enhancement levels and Cube configuration.
  • The desktop game uses Steam leaderboards when Steam is available. If Steam is not running or leaderboard initialization fails, it falls back to a local board comparing saves on this computer.
  • Upload a build manually. Uploads are at least one minute apart, and higher records are retained.
  • These boards compare calculated build stats, not measured training-dummy DPS. Enemy mechanics, target count and the damage cycle still affect actual combat.

Training dummies

The combat area now has a training-dummy button for checking equipment, skill and rune changes.

  • Choose normal, elite or boss targets, with one, three or five dummies.
  • Choose a 30-, 60- or 180-second test, or run without a time limit.
  • The timer starts with the first damage dealt, excluding the walk to the target.
  • During the test, view average DPS and DPS over approximately the last five seconds. The result shows total damage, average DPS, target breaks and a breakdown by damage source.
  • Dummy health follows the same enemy category at the current stage. It immediately refills when depleted, allowing low-health conditions to take effect during the cycle.
  • Normal enemy spawning and progression pause during the test and resume at the original stage afterward. Dummies provide no experience, gold or loot and do not trigger on-kill effects.
  • Dummies never attack, so they cannot measure damage that requires taking a hit, such as Thorns or block counters. Tests cannot begin inside rifts or raids, or while the heroine is dead.

Active-effect list

  • A new button on the character page lists the effects active in the current setup.
  • Use it after changing gear or Cube powers to check the configuration, then use a dummy test to measure the difference.

Shared storage and salvaging

  • Shared storage now has a loot filter for other classes. Choose separately whether each class's Legendary and set drops should be salvaged automatically. All characters on the account share these settings.
  • An option always keeps Ancient and Primal gear. Oddities and Court equipment are always kept. Updating does not enable automatic salvaging for classes you have not configured.
  • A new selection mode lets you mark items directly in the inventory grid, personal stash or current shared-storage page. Select items individually, select the current filtered results, clear the selection and preview the materials.
  • The confirmation screen lists every selected item. Manual selection can include Ancient, enhanced or preset gear; locked items and Oddities remain excluded from batch salvaging. Check the list before confirming.
  • Switching storage pages clears the selection.
  • Shared-storage batch salvaging affects the current page only. Sorting is available for either the current page or all unlocked shared pages.

Ember Furnace

Open the new Ember Furnace from the capsule page to spend resources accumulated in the late game.

  • Exchange gold for experience books.
  • Exchange Ember Souls for rift keys; exchanges stop when the key cap is reached.
  • Exchange shards for an enhancement blessing, guaranteeing the next enhancement attempt succeeds.
  • Exchange gold and shards for a three-gem bag. Gem grades and relevant exchange prices scale with the highest stage reached; the exchange window shows the current offer.

Movement and Warrior changes

  • In main-stage combat, heroines can chase enemies throughout the field instead of stopping at the old movement-radius limit.
  • After clearing a wave, they wait before slowly returning home, reducing back-and-forth movement between waves.
  • Subsequent waves spawn on a side farther from the heroine, reducing situations where enemies appear right next to her after she reaches the spawn area. Raids retain their separate positioning and movement rules.
  • The Warrior can use buff skills such as War Cry and Bloodrage during Whirlwind.
  • Bloodrage now lowers life to one and holds it there for its duration. Healing and life steal become shields, capped at 50% of maximum life.
  • Base Bloodrage lasts ten seconds, grants 50% increased damage and three percentage points of life steal. Its cooldown starts when the effect ends, preventing permanent life-lock through cooldown reduction.
  • The Zeal rune removes the life-lock and healing-to-shield conversion, and changes its damage bonus to 30%. The Thirst rune adds four seconds to the duration.

Updating and practical notes

  • This is an update for the full Windows/macOS game. Existing saves remain in use, with new fields filled in during loading. The slot expansion does not require deleting existing characters.
  • Update all party members to the same version and create a fresh room before playing together.
  • Steam rankings require the Steam client and its online services. If the interface says Local, the records are from this computer.
  • Long-term balance across the expanded roster and its builds remains under observation. Dummy results, calculated rankings and high-stage progression measure different things.

Leave an empty slot if you want to try one of the new heroines. For an existing character, try a dummy run, swap one piece of gear, and see how much the damage actually changes.
