Iron Offensive: Helmet Cam Extraction Shooter

Transition to Raw Simulation and Operation 1 Schedule

Super Low Quality Gameplay Showcase and Easy AI

Attached is a short gameplay clip of the new version recorded on my mid-range test rig (AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 4 GB GTX 1650, and 16 GB RAM).

The goal of this footage is to demonstrate the technical viability and level of detail of the new architecture: recorded on the Super Low preset, you can verify that the minimum graphical configuration maintains a high visual standard and does not compromise engine fidelity. Combat quality remains solid and immune to the automatic compression applied by YouTube video processing, which reduces sharpness compared to direct execution in the executable.

Assessment of the October 10 Non-Launch and Hardcore Pivot

The game was scheduled for commercial release on October 10. However, just hours before the scheduled time, I made the decision to cancel the launch.

The evaluation of the final build confirmed that the project was drifting into overly arcade mechanics. Concurrently, major technical infrastructure issues arose, forcing a complete reassessment of the build status.

This scenario became the catalyst for the radical pivot the game had needed for some time: instead of patching a foundation that was moving away from hardcore tactical simulation, I halted the market release and restructured the project from scratch.

Capitalizing on this total overhaul, I have pivoted development toward a raw tactical simulation using a helmet cam perspective: authentic ballistics, uncompromising weight and inertia, and real-time weapon tactical adaptation in the field, eliminating any arcade dynamics that dilute military immersion.

OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS INTEGRATED INTO THE NEW BUILD

1. Centered Perspective and Hyper-Realistic Lighting

  • Straight Visual Alignment: Off-center aiming eliminated. The camera is aligned with the center of the screen, simulating direct line of sight from the operator's eyes (helmet cam).
  • Rewritten Lighting Pipeline: Optimized to bring visual quality closer to real combat helmet cam standards, prioritizing material density and raw immersion.
  • Dynamic Optical Exposure: Progressive sight adjustment when transitioning from high solar radiation areas to dark interiors, mimicking human pupil adaptation.

2. Tactical Movement and Vaulting

  • Realistic Vaulting System: Mechanics to vault and clear cover or terrain parapets based on consistent height and physics rules.
  • Roadmap Note: Environment object and window destruction systems are scheduled for the first update following game launch.

3. Real-Time Dynamic Tactical Adaptation (Keys 1, 2, 3, 4)

Instant field equipment modification via hotkeys, without pausing or opening menus:

  • [1] Suppressor: Immediate mounting and unmounting for acoustic signature control in the sector.
  • [2] Grip Stance: Weapon grip toggle to adjust dispersion and recoil.
  • [3] Optics Switching: Instant toggling between integrated scopes and canted sights on the weapon.
  • [4] Operator Camouflage: Outfit camo swap (Rural, Woodland, Night Ops) based on cover environment.

4. Field Loot, Drone Resupply, and AI Support

  • Supply Scavenging: Direct search and pickup of ammunition distributed across the map using geolocation.
  • Tactical Drone Supply: Drone resupply requests directly to your position after earning operational capital.
  • Resupply via Escort AI: The nearby escort bot carries 4 to 5 compatible magazines. If you run out of ammo, it will supply you from its own reserves.

5. Arsenal, Vehicles, and Unmanned Units

  • 14 Distinct Tactical Weapons: Expanded arsenal featuring independent ballistics, weight, and inertia.
  • Armored Vehicle and Drone Control: Drive/pilot modules for main battle tanks, aerial reconnaissance drones, and UGVs (unmanned ground assault vehicles).

6. Organized Enemy AI and Human Reaction

  • Imperfect Behavior: Instant AI detection eliminated. Enemy combatants make misjudgments, hesitate, seek cover, and suffer from suppressive fire.
  • Artillery Call-in: If cornered, AI combatants will trigger artillery strike protocols on your location.

7. Allied AI Squad and Escort Cover

In solo games or incomplete lobby sessions, the system automatically deploys a tactical squad of 4 allied bot operators:

  • 3 Autonomous Assault Bots: Advance through the sector, execute flanks, and complete strategic objectives.
  • 1 Dedicated Escort Bot: Permanently tethered to your position. Maintains tight formation, provides covering fire, and supplies reserve magazines.

8. Minimalist Helmet Cam Interface

  • Visual Noise Suppression: Kill markers, score streaks, and floating widgets removed. The screen remains uncluttered, adhering strictly to a helmet cam view.
  • High-Value Telemetry: HUD is restricted to priority military intelligence alerts (such as enemy artillery warnings).

ACCESS AND DEPLOYMENT SCHEDULE

  • Steam Playtest Reopening: Monday, October 26, 2026, at 21:00 CEST. Upload of the new update (replacing the previous build) for active playtesters, along with global access opening for the Playtest.
  • Commercial Launch (Operation 1): Friday, October 30, 2026, at 21:00 CEST. Official commercial release of Operation 1.

Operators, see you in the field.
