Devlog - What's Inside KNIGHT'S PARTY?
Hello, knights
Here's a real look at what you're receiving when you visit Knight's Party, since we've been working on the forge for months.
In simply, it's a physics driven medieval partygame in which two to four knights fight in a tournament of absurd minigames. Limbs dangle, bones shatter, and the winner is the one who best accepts the mayhem.
Have Fun!
- One computer, one keyboard, and a stack of controllers make up a couch cooperative with split screen. You may enter by grabbing a gamepad and pressing any button. In first-person versions, the screen is divided so that each individual fights with their own eyes.
- Using Steam, you may host a room online and invite your friends to join directly from the friends list. No codes, no stranger lobbies.
- Bots: playing by themselves or with a single friend? The table is full of bots that are both clever enough to pose a threat and foolish enough to be humorous.
The Modes (a flavor)
- Duel Pit: Sword fights in the first person. Mount & Blade style, four direction swings, and four direction blocks. Eat the blade or read the feint.
- Fire Pit: Fire is breathed across the arena by revolving totems. The only remaining knight. The flames get longer. I wish you luck.
- Tavern Trouble: For eager patrons, pour beer according to precise percentages. The barrel of the worst bartender bursts.
- Fishing Frenzy: A fish jumps out of the pond and is caught by the first cast. Spam depletes your energy, green is good, red is terrible, and −5 points indicates that you blow up.
- Storm Galley: One ship, four docks, four oars. It's the toughest row to direct, but if you row during a bolt of lightning, you'll be unconscious.
- Drill Cannon: The firing line is commanded by the captain's flag. He feints. A lot. The punishment cannon will find you whether you fire early or late.
- Medieval chaos may take many forms, including Archery, Joust, Catapult Battle, Guillotine, King's Portrait, Find the Coin, Enchanted Armory, and more.
The Specifics We Fear
- Complete controller compatibility with appropriate Xbox and PlayStation button icons
- A medieval soundtrack that is mixed and never repeats
- Knight personalization that follows you in each mode
- 19 languages, a mobile-friendly user interface, with an optional PS1 vintage filter for that terrible 1997 appearance
The Future
We're aggressively working on 30 tournament modes as we enter Early Access with 15. Come break some bones with us as we continue to add more modes, maps, and events to our wish list.
I'll see you at the arena!
