Loftia Demo - Patch notes #1
Hi Loftians!
It’s been such an exciting start to Steam Next Fest for Loftia and we’re incredibly thankful for everyone’s support. To be one of the top demos in the Next Fest is truly incredible, and we can’t express how grateful we are!
The demo is only a small part of the content, narrative and gameplay systems that Loftia will have at Early Access in less than 2 weeks. There’s so much more of Loftia to be discovered, and we can’t wait to experience it with you. Head on over to the Early Access info page on our website to see what’s yet to come.
Patch notes
A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share feedback and report issues. Our team has been working around the clock on addressing these, and we’ll be continuing to make more fixes throughout the Next Fest and beyond!
Here are the fixes and changes we applied in a patch just earlier today:
Bugfixes
- Fixed being sent back to the login screen when checking House Showcase results.
- Fixed item fragments staying uncombined after collecting enough pieces.
- Fixed being unable to rebind controller buttons while using a controller.
- Fixed "A Note from the Team" appearing when opening Daily Summary.
- Fixed long character-name error messages not wrapping on the login screen.
- Fixed duplicate Pebble and Cliff characters appearing during the crack-reveal cutscene.
- Fixed the player's hair appearing stiff in cutscenes when hair movement is enabled.
- Fixed title-screen settings disabling depth of field during gameplay.
- Reduced maximum CPU usage during shader preparation to help keep computers happy while loading.
- Rebalanced audio, including quieter vending machines, rivers, fire pits, and Pebble's wave sound.
Gameplay & Balance
- Clarified where to find Scrambled Coordinates for Ryder's quest and increased their drop chance during that quest step.
- Bloom and Scrambled Coordinates from the Daily Goodies Chest now unlock after completing Ryder's intro Adventure quest.
- Solar panels now generate more energy in rain and at night, particularly when both are happening.
UI & Tutorial Improvements
- Improved the Tool Wheel tutorial prompt. It now appears during the planting step, stays visible for up to four minutes, and dismisses only when you open the wheel. This should help anyone who was having trouble finding their carrot seeds.
- Added hover and click sounds to more character customization buttons.
We also encourage you to join us on our official Discord server to stay updated on any future scheduled server downtime and hotfixes! On the Discord, we’re also running some fun community events, so be sure to check out the #events channel there for more details!
Until then, please make sure to rest & hydrate as you’re playing the game, and we’ll see you around in Loftia City!
With much appreciation and gratitude, - the Loftia team
