Loftia Demo - Patch notes #2
Hi Loftians!
Steam Next Fest is in full swing and we're so excited to see so many of your try Loftia! There's been so many new players who have joined our community over the past few days, and it's amazing to see everyone get together and make the most out of the demo!
The demo is only a very small part of the content, narrative and gameplay systems that Loftia will have at Early Access in less than 2 weeks. There’s so much more of Loftia to be discovered, and we can’t wait to experience it with you! Head on over to the Early Access info page on our website to see what’s yet to come.
Patch notes
A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share feedback and report issues. Our team has been working around the clock and has addressed another batch of reported issues. We're committed to responding with fixes as quickly as possible.
Here are the fixes and changes we applied in a patch just earlier today:
Bugfixes
- Additional fixes for traveling to House Showcase results and collecting rewards.
- Fixed group neighborhood travel repeatedly failing or returning players to the login screen.
- Fixed Pebble's City Tour quest becoming stuck after an interruption or disconnection. You can now speak to Pebble to resume the tour.
- Fixed occasionally being unable to enter Decorate Mode outside your house.
- Fixed furniture placement sometimes being incorrectly blocked by the floor inside your house.
- Fixed large default trees becoming impossible to place after picking them up.
- Fixed missing weather icons and incorrect solar panel information on some home islands.
- Fixed conflicting saved quest progress causing repeated dialogue or blocked progression after reconnecting, particularly with Pebble (that scoundrel!).
- Potential fix for players getting stuck in the ground when returning to Loftia City from an Adventure.
- Fixed issues with Pebble's Birthday Party Bot, including quest completion and the camera becoming detached after closing the completed project screen.
- Fixed World Project memories incorrectly counting completed contributions.
- Corrected player counts used by World Projects and World Maintenance during busy periods.
- Fixed newly available neighborhood space not being detected after the last player leaves.
Improvements
- Improved dialogue camera angles around Milo's Workshop, the Air Tram, and Herb.
- Login now automatically retries temporary connection failures instead of immediately displaying an error.
- Added clearer login messages when Steam is offline, isn't running, or may need an update.
- Added a preview of Demo rewards to the Link Your Email button and fixed controller activation.
- Removed placeholder rarity icons from some items.
World Changes
- Removed plantable Garden Beds from Loftia City. We may bring them back in the future with clearer information about their shared, public nature.
We also encourage you to join us on our official Discord server to stay updated on any future scheduled server downtime and hotfixes! On the Discord, we’re also running some fun community events, so be sure to check out the #events channel there for more details!
Until then, please make sure to rest & hydrate as you’re playing the game, and we’ll see you around in Loftia City!
With much appreciation and gratitude, - the Loftia team
