Night Audit

Welcome to the Nightly Hotel

R0xZeD

Hello from the front desk

Night Audit is a co-op horror game about working the night shift at a hotel. You and up to three friends are the porters. At 22:00 the day staff hand you a five-star property. At 06:00 the register prints the night audit — every point you lost, and exactly what you lost it on.

In between: guests to check in, sick to mop up, air conditioning to fix, room service to carry up four floors without dropping it. And a building that, somewhere around two in the morning, stops pretending to be an ordinary hotel.

It's a job first

The scares only work because the job is real. Every call needs the right thing in your hands — a mop, a toolbox, a fresh mattress, the master key — and every minute a call sits unanswered, the hotel's rating drains. Four people who are busy are four people who aren't watching each other's backs.

That's the whole game: split up to get the work done, and then find out what splitting up costs.

A small thing from development

For weeks, the bell on the front desk — the one every guest rings, the sound you'll hear in your sleep — was a bow . A household-pack bowl with a bell script bolted onto it. Nobody noticed, because it made exactly the right noise. It's a real bell now. We think.

The hub is open

  • Guides: Your First Shift covers the controls and the job. More are coming.
  • Discussions: bug reports, looking-for-group and suggestions all have a home. We read them.
  • Discord: there's no in-game voice chat yet, so the official server has voice rooms for co-op nights — discord.gg/Wj2bwpQakd

Wishlist

If you'd like to be told when the doors open, wishlisting Night Audit is the single most helpful thing you can do for a small game. Steam will let you know the moment it's out.

See you on shift. Don't go into the woods.
