ORION: Prelude | Ultimate Reset

DANKIE

Exclusive Ceremonial Skins

A new feature is coming with the updated version of ORION: Prelude and if you want access to it you need to act fast...

ULTIMATE PROGRESSION

One of the most common pieces of feedback I’ve heard over the years is from Ultimate Edition owners who wanted a way to reset their progression. Many of you bought the DLC for the cosmetics but wanted to earn your levels and skills yourselves, the way the game was meant to be played.

ULTIMATE SOLUTION

Coming back to ORION: Prelude I wanted to finally find a solution and to tie it into something bigger. With the Ultimate Edition DLC retiring, this felt like the right moment to bring it all together: the ability to reset your progression, a final chance to own Ultimate and a big thank you to everyone who has supported the game.

What it is, how it works and when it all happens:

ULTIMATE EDITION DLC

ORION: Prelude (ULTIMATE EDITION) instantly unlocks ALL Skills across 210 Progression levels, plus ALL Store Items , including Hats, Armors, Capes, Saber Colors, Dinosaur Skins and more. >> RETIRING OCTOBER 25, 2026

  • The Ultimate Edition DLC will be removed from the store on October 25, 2026.
  • After that date, it will no longer be available to purchase.
  • Existing owners keep everything. All unlocks will continue to work.

THE ULTIMATE CHOICE

If you own the Ultimate Edition DLC before it’s retired, you’ll have a choice going forward:

CHOICE #1: ~ Do Nothing Keep your premium progression and all cosmetics exactly as they are.

CHOICE #2: ~ Reset Ultimate Progression Your Progression resets to Level 0 and you level your account back up manually. You keep all Store Cosmetics.

In return, you’ll unlock an exclusive cosmetic pack.

CEREMONIAL SKIN PACK

(6x Exclusive Skins)

  • ASSAULT v1 (Gen 1)
  • ASSAULT v2 (Gen 2)
  • SUPPORT v1 (Gen 1)
  • SUPPORT v2 (Gen 2)
  • RECON v1 (Gen 1)
  • RECON v2 (Gen 2)

TO BE CLEAR

  1. You only need to own the Ultimate Edition DLC before October 25.
  2. You can make your choice at any time after that, even once the DLC is gone from the store.
  3. The Ceremonial Skin Pack will not be sold in the Store. Choice #2 is the only way to get it.

BUY ULTIMATE DLC

ORION: Prelude (Ultimate Edition DLC Pack)

This will be available starting October 25, 2026 .

This reset is PERMANENT .

This is something you won't be able to undo and I won't be able to help you change. >> Make your choice wisely <<

// DEV NOTE:

The design for The Ultimate Reset was more towards the choice behind it all.

For 10 years the Ultimate Edition DLC has given its owners a lot of power: unlocked progression, weapons, perks, buffs and more.

Giving all of that up and starting from Level 0 is a big decision; one that multiple owners have asked for.

With the Ultimate Edition DLC retiring after a decade that choice felt like a special moment that deserved something to mark it.

That’s why it’s called the Ceremonial Skin Pack. Not about spending money; there been sales that have taken it down to $1 in the last decade or so. It's more about a way to commemorate choosing to set power aside and earn it all back yourself after all this time.

Hopefully with the changes I've made to the game that can make that journey as interesting, fun and with just the right amount of differences to make that as exciting as possible.

If you’d rather keep everything as it is, that’s a completely valid choice too^^

FAQ

"Does or will the game account for manual progression before purchasing the Ultimate Edition DLC?"

Unfortunately no because the Ultimate Edition applies the data to the Player Account/XP; they were not separate. The Ultimate Reset would wipe your levels regardless of Standard or Ultimate-earned as this game sees them as all the same.

"Is the Ultimate Reset available now?"

No, it is scheduled to deploy in Patch v10.0.15 which should be released by the new pricing model update on October 25, 2026.

"What happens to my Leaderboard when I do the Ultimate Reset?"

Your Leaderboard will stamp the pre-reset value of your high score. That is what will be listed as it is what you have achieved.

"What happens if I level up in the 2015 version of the game and then come back to the New Version and do some more leveling?"

Leveling is linked. You can earn experience on either branch and it will accumulate globally. If you play on the 2015 version for a bit, those kills you earn there will transfer to the New Version all-the-same.

"Are there any issues to be aware of at this time?"

Only one vanity issue. If you swap back to the old 2015 version of the game you will open it and see your Leaderboard set to 0 across the board. The old version doesn't have any of the new logic handling so all you need to do is play for a little on the old 2015 version ( kills, assists, etc ) and you'll see that the 2015 Leaderboard resolves itself.

"If I do the Ultimate Reset, what do I lose? What do I keep?"

The Ultimate Reset will wipe your progression and anything tied to your progression which includes your Progression-gifted Weapons in Loadout. It will NOT remove your Cosmetics and Store Items such as Hats, Armors, Shaders and Sabers.
