Poker Games – August 31 Update: Offline Mode & AI Logic Improvements

New Offline Mode

The game can now be played without an internet connection. In Offline Mode, you can create a local game and play simulated matches against AI players without connecting to Steam's online services. This mode is useful when your network connection is unstable, when you are unable to connect to an online room, or when you simply want to practice the rules and simulate different poker situations.

Improved AI Decision-Making

This update also introduces further improvements to the AI player's decision-making logic. The AI now uses a Chip-EV Heuristic to evaluate the current situation, taking into account factors such as hand strength, pot size, calling and raising costs, and potential returns before choosing actions such as folding, calling, checking, or raising.

Compared with the previous, more basic decision logic, the AI can now respond more appropriately to different game situations, making it a more useful opponent for offline practice and strategy simulation.

Please note that the current AI is still based on a heuristic decision-making model and is not a full GTO Solver. We will continue improving its bet sizing, hand evaluation, and decision-making strategies across different situations based on actual gameplay performance.
