Poker Games Update – August 11, 2026: Infinite Squid Mode Beta Now Available

This update introduces the Beta version of the new Infinite Squid mode.
Infinite Squid is based on rules inspired by KPC competitive play and has been adapted for the online gameplay structure of Poker Games.
The mode is currently still in Beta, so there may be issues with certain rules, settlement logic, or specific online situations. If you encounter any problems or have suggestions about the rules or overall experience, please send us your feedback. We will continue refining and improving the mode.
Enabling Infinite Squid Mode
Hosts can now enable Infinite Squid when creating a room.
When enabled, the host can customize:
- The chip value of each Squid
- The number of accumulated Squids required before the chip value doubles
This allows hosts to adjust the intensity of Infinite Squid based on the number of players and the preferred pace of the game.
Basic Rules
Number of Squids per Round
The base number of Squids for each Infinite Squid round is:
Number of participating players + 3
For example, if 5 players are participating when a new round begins, that round will contain 8 Squids.
If a player leaves or joins the room during an active round, the number of Squids for that round will not change immediately.
The total number of Squids will only be recalculated after the current Infinite Squid round ends, based on the number of players present when the next round begins.
First Hand of Each Round
The first hand of every Infinite Squid round starts with 2 Squids.
After that, Squids will continue to be awarded or carried over depending on the results of each hand.
Split Pots
If a hand ends in a split pot, the Squids assigned to that hand will not be awarded.
Instead, they will carry over into the next hand.
As a result, consecutive split pots may cause the number of Squids being contested in the next hand to continue increasing.
Multiple Runs After All-in
If players choose to run the board multiple times after an All-in, only the winner of the first run will determine who receives the Squid.
The results of any additional runs will not generate additional Squid awards.
Insufficient Chips for Squid Settlement
At the end of a round, if a player does not have enough chips to cover the required Squid settlement, the system will automatically add enough chips for the player to complete the payment.
Beta Test Notice
Infinite Squid is currently available as a Beta feature.
Because the mode involves many special situations, including players joining or leaving mid-game, split pots, multiple runs after an All-in, and special settlement rules, there may still be undiscovered issues in the current version.
If you encounter unexpected rule behavior, settlement errors, or any other problems, please let us know.
We will continue improving Infinite Squid based on actual gameplay and player feedback.
