Update 0.4 – NEW WORLDS: four new shooter maps, an event horizon and emotes

Every mode just moved house. SOCCER plays on real grass, DODGEBALL moved into a gym, a boxing hall and a summer fair, and SHOOTER threw out its seven old maps for four new ones, each with a trick. Oh, and the black hole has an event horizon now. Nothing gets out.

NEW LOOKS

• SOCCER plays on a real grass pitch.
• DODGEBALL plays in a gym, a boxing hall (COURT) and a summer fair (CAROUSEL).
• PINBALL soccer has new pop bumpers.

SHOOTER: FOUR NEW MAPS

They replace the old seven, and each one has a trick:

• WILD WEST: TNT barrels blow when you shoot them.
• PAINTBALL: bouncy inflatables, and the paint stays.
• CYBERPUNK: a rooftop alley you can get shoved into, steam vents and holo-gates.
• LASER TAG: mirrors bounce your bullets.

SOCCER WITH GUNS

• Goals now go in an END ZONE: shoot the heavy ball into it. Goals per minute are up about 30%.
• New TEAM DAMAGE option, OFF by default here. Off means your shots pass through team-mates.

KILL STREAKS

• BLACK HOLE: now an event horizon you cannot escape. It's bigger (a 24-unit field), lasts 7.5 s, spaghettifies pucks, then implodes.
• AIRSTRIKE: a jet flies over and drops the bomb. Damage and timing are unchanged.
• Rewards you've earned now survive death. Your count restarts, and a reward you earn again stacks (×2).
• You can see the gunship's shadow now.

PUCKS

• EMOTES on the d-pad or keys 1-4: LAUGH, ANGRY, CRY and GG.
• Leave a puck alone for 12 seconds and it falls asleep.

LOBBY

• One screen: pick the map, the bot skill and the background right there.
• START starts the match. The MATCH SETTINGS screen is gone.

0.4.1 POLISH

• Emotes are redrawn on the puck itself: ink faces, no white bubbles.
• New emote sounds. The laugh is a giggle now.
• Lobby on a controller: LB/RB pick a setting, LT/RT change it, no mode switching. On keyboard: Q/E and Z/C.
