SEND THEM TO HELL | POST-LAUNCH PATCH NOTES

We are dropping our official Day One Update. I've been up for almost 48 hours now to deliver all these changes and hope you are all as excited as I am.

Here's what's changed.

KILLSTREAKS

Turret Rework

  • The turret is now thrown instead of ridden. It lands approximately 7 units in front of you and automatically fires at the nearest visible demon within 40 units for 30 seconds.
  • Demons within 28 units are attracted to the turret, just like the Boombox.
  • You remain on foot with access to your weapons, ultimate, health, and pickups. You can also call in the tank or mech while the turret is deployed.
  • The turret has no health and cannot be moved.
  • Its cooldown begins after it disappears, and its HUD slot displays the remaining duration in green.
  • Turret kills do not contribute to killstreak meters.
  • Turret rounds now knock demons directly away from the turret.

Tank & Mech Improvements

  • The tank now has health equal to 8x your maximum health, while the mech has 10x your maximum health.
  • Hits that would normally damage you now damage your vehicle instead, capped at 5% of the tank's health or 4% of the mech's health per hit.
  • You cannot take damage while inside either vehicle.
  • Vehicles now show their health on the ride bar.
  • Damaged vehicles spark, crack, and blacken. They begin smoking below 50% health and throw sparks below 25%.
  • At zero health, the vehicle explodes with the message "YOUR TANK WAS WRECKED" and ejects you with the usual explosion and 2.5 seconds of invulnerability.

Vehicle Repairs

  • While your tank or mech is damaged, each kill has an 8% chance to drop a wrench.
  • Wrenches have a maximum drop rate of one every 3 seconds.
  • They disappear after 15 seconds and can only be collected while riding a tank or mech.
  • Each wrench repairs 20% of your vehicle's health.

Boss & Enemy Interactions

  • Boss charges now hit vehicles only once instead of dealing damage on every tick.
  • Boss spike volleys now hit vehicles only once instead of potentially landing 11 hits.
  • Exploders now properly arm and detonate against the tank's hull.
  • Floater explosions now reach the vehicle hull.

Adventure Mode Restrictions

  • Killstreaks are disabled in the boss arenas following the Tundra and Oasis.
  • Killstreak meters and cooldowns carry over into the next realm.

Audio Improvements

New sounds recorded for the game:

  • The turret, tank machine gun, and mech guns now loop while firing and play proper audio tails when firing stops.

POWER-UPS

  • Regular power-ups now drop approximately one-third as often, regardless of the Ascend power-up upgrade.
  • At 10 kills per second, the drop rate changed from 1.79 to 0.71 per minute without the upgrade.
  • With the upgrade maxed, the rate changed from 6.00 to 1.79 per minute.
  • Tactical Blend now accounts for approximately 27.5% of power-up drops, up from 25%.

PHOTOCOPIER

  • There is now only one photocopier per map: one per depth in Endless and one per level in Adventure. Previously, there were four.
  • Copying an item consumes a charge. Shredding items does not.
  • After three copies, the photocopier explodes and becomes a smoking wreck that cannot be used again for the remainder of the map, including during the Weekly restock.
  • A rare Golden Photocopier can appear on approximately 1 in 10 maps and allows four copies.
  • The menu now displays the number of remaining copies.
  • Copy limits are shared across the entire squad in co-op.

TACTICAL BLEND

Shotgun

  • Damage increased by 50%.
  • Fire rate increased by 30%.
  • Now fires 16 pellets per blast instead of 9.
  • A single blast against a line of 11 walkers now hits 7 instead of 3.

Sniper

  • Damage increased by 100%.
  • Fire rate increased by 35%.
  • Scope animation is twice as fast, making quick-scoping easier.

GAMEPLAY & BALANCE

  • Lifesteal now has a hard cap of 50%. Each additional pick beyond the cap grants +1%.
  • Repeated jumping can no longer dodge melee attacks.
  • Sliding out of a sprint is now 12% faster than sprinting. Previously, sliding slowed you down.

HUD & SETTINGS

Screen Shake

Turning Screen Shake off now disables all camera motion, including:

  • The jolt when taking a hit.
  • Angel Smash and Heavens Rally slams.
  • Angel Smash's zoom punch.
  • Recoil from killstreak and Tactical Blend weapons.
  • Legendary chest screen shake.

Navigation

  • A 3D arrow now appears at the top-center of the screen when a portal or gate opens in Adventure or Endless, pointing you toward it like a compass.
  • The arrow works in vehicles, in first person, and in co-op.
  • The minimap arrow pointing toward an off-map portal is now approximately 26 pixels instead of 10, making it much easier to see.

Localization

  • The Necros Tome description now reads "A tome used to necromance fallen enemies" in all languages.

CO-OP & PERFORMANCE FIXES

  • On co-op clients, turret rounds now correctly originate from the barrel that fired them.
  • Turrets no longer disappear at their previous location after changing depth.
  • Turrets now consume less performance when no enemies are in range.
  • Vehicle health is only sent over the network while someone is riding the vehicle.
  • All co-op players must update because the network protocol version has changed.

IN-GAME WIKI

The in-game wiki now covers the killstreak, power-up, photocopier, Tactical Blend, and sliding changes in all nine supported languages.

The new portal navigation arrow has not been added to the wiki yet.
